As Redoedo says, more a historical piece than a political one, but there are a few moments. I found the movie rather pedestrian, and it missed the boat on a lot of potential drama.

Much more of a historical drama then a political film. There was very little politics involved in Thirteen Days. The film is a historical look at the Cuban Missile Crisis, and very few political elements are represented in the film.
