My family and I love staying at B&Bs when we travel. The best so far being The Pomegranate House in Granbury, TX. So that was my comparison while staying at Robin's Nest.

We arrived around 9pm and had been given gate codes to get into the yard, but when we got there, the gates were already open. Then the keys were sitting out by the front door. Anybody could get into this place!

The website claims to have a fish pond, but when we got there it was a stagnate nonworking pond filled with algae and swarming with mosquitos.

There was no ice by the water, we had requested decaf coffee, and only regular was left out, no honey to go along with the teas, and no snacks/cookies of any kind were laid out for guests.

The bathtub had a large plastic curtain inside of it that we were not allowed to take out, which made bathing very uncomfortable. The shower head also broke our second day there.

The breakfasts were VERY disappointing. The food was ok and the portions seemed made for a child. We had to continually ask for more food, which you should NEVER have to do at any B&B.

Robin was out of town, so we never saw her.. and the staff never said Hi to us or greeted us. During breakfast they served our plates and then retreated into the kitchen to not be seen again.

Also, our second night there, some mentally ill lady showed up. She was screaming around the place, trying to light the gas stove, and continually trying to get into our room. We called the managers and it took them about 30 min to arrive. During that time, we were scared and had to babysit this lady to keep her from blowing the place up.

I would never go back to this place ever again and would never recommend it to anyone.
