I never saw how Elvis Costello was rated so much higher than Joe. I rated them as contemporaries and liked Joe's songs better although Elvis was a better "writer" and raconteur

Joe Jackson is a master of genius. Everything he touches turns to gold. It's unfortunate that not everyone can recognize and appreciate the unique style of this man. He is human, intelligent, learned, driven, deserving and most of all true to himself. He loves music and it shows in everything he has ever written and sung. From his earty daysof punk and pop to his own symphony. Joe can and does do it all. He is to be respected and well deserves his own special place in the HOF. He IS one of a kind and I feel blessed to have lived in his life time. Thanks Joe, your music and words have touched me and made me a better person.

Musical genius! His music spans such a broad gammat of styles. If he doesn't deserve to be there, then no one from the 80s/90s does.

I would let Joe in. He may rate slightly below the other punk/new wave/alternative artists aready in, but they guy took a lot of chances and was sucessful with several other styles of music.

I absolutely love him, so I couldn't give him a 1, but come on. He is a million miles from getting in. Look Sharp! is one of the best power-pop albums of all time, but Nick Lowe, Cheap Trick, Big Star, The dBs, Raspberries, Badfinger all deserve to go first from that genre.

With the exception of David Byrne, he is the only Rock and Roller to come out of the punk era and create revelant music for different genres. His first 3 albums are classics.

JJ is the most underrated, underappreciated solo artist in history. He has made some superb music over the years and a couple years ago made a kick but live album with a side of new material. He should ddefinitely be in.

I see the mistake I made! what I meant was if you live in nyc, he tells you stories about the city. Hell of a town, trying to find china town,but I still think the man is a true GENIUS! He very much deserves to be in the hall of fame.
