One of my favorite bands I"m just thinking when that first lp kool and the gang was out I was a freshman in high school and they played on stage and gave out 45 records I was hooked then the excitement and tight horns bass and rhythm they have done it all from summer madness to love the life you live and on and on they started out playing jazz and crossed over and adjusted and did it well! forever kool and the gang!!you should have been in the hall of fame.

Probably on of the better funk bands of their era.They actually had great musicians in the band and could pull of their tight arrangements live onstage.UPDATE:ooops! I was mixing them up with KC and the Sunshine Band..my bad.

They are absolutely Unique in their funky and uplifting sound...they were of great importance to the lots of bands, and have a 40-year-carreer to look back at, proudly!...Now what More does it take be be included lol...they Got it, imo! Mariella ...oh, and they guided me through adolensence in one piece lol - my personal bible...and not just mine...I am sure...

A very talented group. They had some really good hits. With hits such as Ladies Night, Jungle Boogie, Celebration Hollywood Swinging, and Joanna, why not? If they were to make it then call them Kool and the Gang, not Kool and the Gang featuring JT Taylor.
