The asthma epedimic is not being caused by any substantial amount of bad outdoor air but it is caused by food-additives and cigarette smoke etc...The air inside is 5 times more polluted than the air outside. So-called clean air progress is the reason why we are so dependent on foreign oil reserves to meet our needs, there are so many regulations against drilling and exploration and refineries that no one can afford to find new oil reserves or open new refineries. While some conservation is good some take it too far and for those I say...ride a bike, use animal dung to heat your house and cook your food , only wear natural fiber that you process yourself, and bury your execrement in the back yard. Now that's real conservation. You attack industry but conduct a secret love affair with pollution behind your green peace backs....

09/24/2004 | See, this gives companies the chance to take the voluntary initiative to clean up their crap from our world...OR NOT. At least the word 'initiative' isn't a lie, per se. But when it costs money to take an initiative, that initiative won't be taken. Our skies will not be clear.

01/31/2004 | Orwellian name and purpose. One wonders what else will come out of the Ministry of Truth. Whatever it is, it will be at least as toxic as the vast choking clouds of oxides of sulfur and nitrogen that will spew from the Ohio Valley coal plants. Unbelievable, but it really IS called Clear Skies.
