As a student at Iowa State I may be bias, but when you go to a big game in Hilton as an opposing player, you get kind of frightened. You know that Hilton offers one hell of a kick at full capacity and that there is a HUGE home court advantages against top rated teams.

If you like concrete and a lot of empty seats this is the place. When the cyclones are losing the place might get 10,000 (They like to turn off the lights in the upper deck when no one is up there so you can't see all the empty seats when they play such powerhouses like The Citadel and Copper State. Face isu you guys ISUck!

It's an okay arena, not enough psets for it to be a 5. And Purddog86(what ever that means), Texas and Kansas were beat at their houses, and Missouri sucks this year.

the Hilton is as good as it gets, when the crowd gets into it, the players have said the floor literally moves under them.

One of the best and loudest arenas in college basketball. Just look at how many ranked Kansas, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma teams have been upset by crappy Cyclone teams. Great place to watch a game!

What do i like about hilton? how much time you got buddy? beautiful location on a beautiful campus, the best fans in the nation (for a team that usually sucks), and rich, storied past (yes, it does have a past). Hope all of you can experience Hilton Magic like I have.

There's nothing exceptional about the building itself. You could be in any 70s era building. There's a general lack of history that makes it impossible to compare Hilton with the classic arenas around the country. But the passion of 'Clone fans makes Hilton a great place to watch a game when every seat is filled. They get into the game as much as fans anywhere. ISU fans can be negative to opposing players during a game, but they're always friendly to visiting fans, win or lose. However, the building loses points for not being full every night and for the overwhelming commercial presence since the video scoreboard was installed. I understand that's part of the reality of modern college athletics, especially at mid-sized state schools, but there are far too many promotions during a game.

True, the coliseum looks like an elogated octogonal drum, but it almost looks like an entrance to a Hilton Hotel if viewed from the side, and look where it's located- just great greenery, and great archetectural paths surrounding it.

Hilton Magic is overrated. The building is a sterile 1970s concrete monstrosity, and the men's basketball fans spend more time yelling ill-informed insults at the referees than actually cheering their players, although the women's team's fans are actually fairly knowledgeable.
