 | georges11 (16) 06/01/2008 | very very competitive, whined a lot but backed up his whine. he had an awkward way of shooting...don't know how those bricks made it in the basket but they did.

 | twansalem (36) 05/27/2008 | A solid three. While he made some great moves in the last year, his transactions before that weren't exactly spectacular.

 | GoinDownSlow (23) 08/06/2007 | Not much has changed. Can't see him taking Yi, as is the current "wisdom", and apparently no one wants to join the Green, so getting good value using the pick as trade bait (with players added) is probably not in the cards, although still a possibility. While clearly not yet the John Y. Brown years, this situation is in dire need of an immediate fix. I just don't think the Danny is the man to fix it...
Update: From worst to first, from Dan Duquette to Theo Epstein. Danny, you are one slick mother******! We'll see how this works out four years from now, but I be one happy Celtics fan today...

 | mrgp0 (0) 01/31/2004 | All the players that Danny got ride of were LOSERS. The new players are faster, younger and don't forget the draft picks. So get off Danny's back and celtics fans let stand behind one of are own

 | craigjweinstein (0) 01/28/2004 | I am not impressed with Danny, or the new ownership. I am a fan, always will be, cannot stand to watch a game given the talent they have. Pierce looks like a deer caught in the headlights. Its going to take years to recover from the Danny Ainge flu.

 | minkey (36) 01/28/2004 | As a life-long C's fan I liked Ainge as a player; I was young but I remember he was always a hard worker and thought he stepped up and played beyond his level. But personally I'm not sure about all these player-turned-GM transitions. The GM should be someone with a solid business mind, someone who you feel comfortable running your company. These ballplayers never had to pay any attention in college because they knew they'd automatically pass. So basically what you've got is an uneducated guy who knows how to play ball but knows very little about business or how to run a succesful organization.

 | BCD (0) 01/28/2004 | I think it's too early to judge Danny's moves because the players he got need time to develope. The Celtics probably went as far as they could with their old players and style of play. The reason I give him a bad rating is because Jim O'Brien and the entire organization should have been informed and comfortable with Ainge's vision before any moves were made. How can you work toward a goal if you don't have all your guys on the same page? Ainge & O'Brien should have resolved this stuff before Walker was traded. The Celtics look like a disorganized mess again as a result.

 | Dowds (0) 01/28/2004 | Ainge was a good player, but has a cry-baby winey personality. How the Celtics ever picked him as their GM is beyond me. My perdiction is that he drives the Celtics into the ground and is eventually fired. O'Brien quitting speaks volumes about what an idiot Ainge is.

 | JML (0) 01/27/2004 | I think Ainge's moves especially losing Eric Williams have been average to poor. I think Jim O'Brien saw this and my guess is he would not put up with it. How can he run the show if he doesn't know who the players will be. Only time will tell. As a fan I always hope for the best but this I don't know about. Was Ainge really a Celtic!

 | magellan (151) 01/27/2004 | I have to think that Danny Ainge's credibility will be severely tested with the resignation of Jim O'Brien. Ainge derailed a team that was on top of their division and winners of 5 in a row when he traded away their heart and soul, Eric Williams, and several key contributors for the talented Ricky Davis and unproven Chris Mihm. So far the deal has not worked out. The departure of O'Brien signals that at least one bright basketball mind that is intimately familiar with Boston's personnel does NOT think that Ainge is taking the team in the right direction.
