Hagrid is to some degree the comic relief of the series, yet he is also trustworthy and friends with Harry. He is also important to the story with him trying to enlist the help of the giants in the coming war against Lord Voldemort.

  Gotta love Hagrid. Strong, loyal and fiercely protective. I love the ambiguity to his character: the fact that he is so physically strong and imposing, intimidating even, yet having such a gentle, caring side to his nature.

  Hagrid never fails to make me laugh in the books- his facination with dangerous creatures and his complete lack of concern for the fact that many would kill you as soon as look at you! But, of course, they are all 'misunderstood'.

It's not possible to dislike Hagrid, surely?!!

I liked Hagrid's hospitality, his friendliness, his warmth, his humor, and most of all, his good heart.  How can anyone NOT like Hagrid?!  If I knew someone like that . . . Well, he's not the brightest, but he means well.  His emotions get the better of him at times.  Hagrid was easily taken advantage of by Voldemort, not because he's small (he's 10 ft. tall!) but because he's lonely and bored.  Think about it: he was tricked into giving away Fluffy's weakness over a game of cards with someone in awe of his talent with dangerous beasts.  Hermione also flatters Hagrid to get information in book 1.  The students don't respect him as a teacher in book 3 because he's too easy to manipulate.

OK, i got a few words for snivelling, whining, b-b-boo-hoo'ing Rubeus fuckin Hagrid. WHY THE FUCK DOES HE ALWAYS WHINE AND COMPLAIN ABOWT STUPID MONSTERS?!? and then he sobs in front of kids and then is such a stupid ass-hole, he always gives away important info. to people. What a DUMBASS. It just pisses me off how he is always bitching and boo-hoo'in abowt God-knows-what. Usually abowt some stupid "pet". But it REALLY gets me that he complains to teenagers who are 100 times more composed than he. Oh and also, he speaks in such doofus language, what a fuckin goon! hate him!!!!

i love hagrid. hes werid n funny. hes so gentle n yet he can be rough at the right time.

Hagrid is awsome....he always helps someone when they need it and is always pulling some forbiden (or deadly) creature 4 class. He helps them when they need it and still teaches them new stuff...

hagrid is the greatest and there should be more pictures of him on the net!
