 | Mr.Political (18) 06/30/2005 | Okay...I know they help to keep mosquitoes and other irritating bugs out of my home but that's what I have Raid for; I don't need spiders crawling God knows where and on what all over the house laying eggs. Outside it's another story entirely because it is their natural home and they can be interesting to observe.

 | texasyankee (21) 06/29/2005 | Yes spiders are helpful *grudge* I just get so scared of them, because they can go up your pantleg or inside your shirt, and that is creepy as anything! I had a tarantula on me and I admit the moment it seen me, it ran the opposite direction but wolf spiders don't- they will run TOWARDS you, like the defiant little buggers that they are.

 | kamylienne (77) 01/29/2004 | Depends on which species, of course, but I do particularly like insectivores--I like their company far more than the company of mosquitoes and such, which the spiders tend to neatly dispose of. I HATE it when some whiny brat stomps on a spider and says Ewww, I hate bugs!, to which I often reply You know that spider would've gotten rid of all the annoying bugs, right? There was this HUGE spider who made his/her web right outside of my window at work--watching him/her build its web, make its daily repairs, and then catch bugs (kinda gross, and I felt sorry for the bugs, but hey, it's gotta happen) was entertaining.
