I thought I could handle the 14.99 all the movies you can see in a month, then I came home with this and realized I had hit rock bottom. First of all the first one was cute,I love ResseWitherspoon. it had a few cute moments at the beggining, then they got to the part where she had to find her dogs mom because she wanted it to be able to go to her wedding. That's right not the dogs wedding,as wierd as that sounds too,but HER wedding. the rest of the movie was about her going to D,C to lobby agianst animal testing.and blondes reign supreme.blah.. blah. I feel the acting was good it was just terrible writing.

I concur with the consensus here: It has its moments, Reese Witherspoon is a doll, but the original is far superior.

It;s quite cute. Not as good as the first one though.

Okay at best. I have to agree with the other raters, this is not as good as the first one. the plot is kind of dumb, and it is predictable. Reese Witherspoon is charming as Elle, but this movie got old real fast. they should have just kept it at the original movie.

Not as good as the first one. I really did not like the idea that the little dog was gay. REALLY redundant of the first movie. Slightly dissapointing. Still fun to watch, though.

Compared to the first one I think this movie was just aweful. Even by itself it's still annoying. The pacing was WAY too fast and the humor was way too obnoxious. The first one at least was somewhere in the vicinity of trying to be believable. When I went to the movie, I thought she was gonna be running for office - that I think woulda been a better story idea, where she's in the next phase of her life, tackling obstacles and fighting battles at the next level of tests in maturity. But no, they basically did a repeat of the first one, where she goes to a new place where her sorority-mad perkiness is scoffed at and eventually accepted through her hard work and good-heartedness. In a word, it was lame.

Reese Witherspoon returns with the sequel to Legally Blonde. My verdict: cute, funny, but nowhere as good as the original. While the first movie actually had me believing that a seemingly ditzy fashion plate could get into - and succeed in- Harvard Law, this movie was not believable. From the basic premise - Elle going to Washington so her dog's mother can attend her upcoming wedding - to the cheesy speech at the end which somehow captures the hearts of hardened politicians - parts of this movie will have you rolling your eyes. The best part of the movie is Reese Witherspoon, who is just so cheerful, enthusiastic, just so downright charming, that she distracts you from the dumb idea and the awkward and unbelievable development of some of the other characters. Not the best movie of the summer, but certainly enjoyable and worth the time and money, maybe rent?
