02/14/2004 | Dean is staying in the race because of his pride, nothing else. His strategy is to appeal to the latte sipping liberals that make up his base like areas like Wisconsin, Washington State and Vermont. Not a winning strategy in the long term if you expect to win the White House. He's way too thin skinned to take on this President. Dean lost Iowa and made a fool of himself in his concession speech. Whether or not this is a fair characterization is not the point, this guy doesn't have the temperment for the office. But the one thing that I liked about him was that he seemed to be honest, something that I found refreshing. However, even if he won the nomination, he would probably still get 45% of the vote. The anti-Bush wave is that strong.
