It is so hard to get people to take a serious look at how the Bush administration economic policy affects them, their families, and future generations - assuming their children will be able to afford to have children. Yet I have family members in dire straits who wonder why God isn't providing opportunities for people who work, yet they voted for Bush and will vote for him again because they believe he is a man of God. I have heard it said Drag God into politics, and you'll ruin His reputation in no time. Bush's talk is cheap. People need to vote based upon measurable facts and reality. Bush fails to make sound, sustainable economic policy.

Unemployment has increased. Bankrupties have spiked. All three stock indexes are lower now than when Bush came into office. More Americans are in poverty now, income inequality has grown, and real median income has declined. GDP growth is the slowest it's been in decades. Massive tax cuts for the richest Americans has exacerbated these problems, and will put a tremendous strain on our economy for years to come. The federal budget has gone from a surplus of $200B in 2000 to a deficit of $400B - a $600B swing (!!!). While average household income has dropped across the board for every economic group, it has dropped faster for low and middle income households, meaning that the gap between rich and poor is widening. It staggers me that many of Bush's staunchest supporters are those who have been most devastated by his economic policy - why do people vote against their economic interests? As someone who follows this stuff very closely, it's a very frustrating time for me. This man has failed us, and his report card is out there for all to see. The data does not lie. **Note** Think I'm some partisan, liberal wacko? I voted for Tom McClintock in the California Recall election. If you don't know who he is, look him up.
