"The Immaculate Reception" (1972 AFC Divisional Playoff Game- Pittsburgh vs. Oakland) 3

Yes,it had one of the top 5 greatest miracle plays,or changes of fortune, and finishes in the history of the game, but the actual game that led up to that moment, was a very, very boring, defensive game, with two FG's accounting for the only points.Only the last 3 minutes, starting with Ken Stabler's 30 yd scramble for the go-ahead TD,that set it up,made it memorable.

Fine defensive struggle which saw the Raiders rally into the lead behind a run(!) by Ken Stabler, only to have the Steelers steal it with the all time fluke play. I can't rate it at the top because it was only an early playoff game and the victorious Steelers were snuffed the following week by the Dolphins.
