I had a very similar experience at Francescas Bridal Salon....Horrible!!! We ordered my dress in May and received it in October for a November wedding. When I received my dress it was way too small. When we called to tell them the dress did not fit they said to bring the dress in and not to worry about it. When I brought it back to the shop they took my measurements again and they were different from my original measurement. They tried to blame it on me saying I gained weight and it wasn't their fault. I told them all of my other clothes fit me exactly the same and are even a little loose on me now. My bra size hasn't changed in the past 8 years so it definitely hasn't in a matter of months. They couldn't admit that they measured me wrong and ordered the wrong size. I tried on the dress for the seamstress and she could see it was small so she put pins in the dress where it needed to be fixed. I was told I needed to pay $45.00 for the alterations. So when I went back to try on the dress after the alterations were finished the top was too big now and the waist still too small. So they said they would make the changes with no mention of any additional alteration charges. So we went back AGAIN and I tried on the dress...finally it fit! But we found that they had attached one of the straps the wrong way so they offerefd to fix it while we waited. While we were waiting my mom decided to have a chat with Francesca about the charges and Francesca stood by her original argument that it wasn't their fault. She said they ordered the right size dress", etc. and by the way you now owe $90.00 for alterations since more alterations had to be made. This was ridiculous. They ordered the wrong size, the seamstress didn't alter the dress right the first time, and they made us drive down from PA 3 extra times and they want to charge us $90.00 for their mistakes. Unbelievable! So Francesca finally agreed to take off $30.00 from the alteration charges but we had to pay the rest or they wouldn't release the dress. So we paid and they brought out the dress. When we looked to see if the strap was fixed it was put on wrong yet again so we left and my mom ended up fixing their mistake. This was a terrible experience! If you go to their website you will see Francesca and her mission statement on the top right hand corner..."exceptional quality and service"...that is a joke>http://www.francescasbridal.com/.

I've been a customer there for years and I will never return after my latest experience. Their customer service is excellent up until the point where you order and pay for your dress. After that it's over. They owe you nothing but dress delivery, they don't care about timing, about returning phone calls. They were completely incesitive to my best friend who had to cancel her wedding. RUDE SNOBBY PEOPLE!

I recently placed an order for a bridesmaid dress. The girls were given 5 choices of styles to choose from. When I called in my order, I gave all the pertinent info. the first time (credit card #, address, phone, etc.) I received 2 phone calls back in about a week and a half saying they did not get my info. (2 other girls received the same phone calls). I was also asked to email the info. to the store (stating that I allow them to charge my credit card, along with the dress style # and size). The wrong dress was ordered and it was large on me (I asked for the smaller size and they insisted I was a size 8). -So then I was forced to have it altered. At any rate, when I went in to discuss the dress I was made to feel as though it was my fault. I asked if they still had the original email I sent (stating the style) and Francesca said that they do not keep them (weird, considering it's proof that I allow them to charge my credit card!) Francesca did give me 25% off the cost of the dress and $10 off altering, however. Bottom line: Ask for and keep all receipts from this place. They seem very unorganized!

Francesca's Bridal has a big selection of dresses, but I certainly did not feel welcome when I went into the store. Not only was the staff rude, but they were also snobby. It took 10 minutes for the staff to greet me. When I eventually met with a consultant, I felt that she was trying to push the more expensive dress on me, after I told her my budget was no more than $1500. After I was finished, she gave me her card and I left. I will never go back there again. It was a complete waste of my time.
