Quite simply the most fascinating cartoon villain of the 1980s. Unlike one-dimensional simpleton thugs like the Cobra Emperor (genes of Napoleon? Hardly!), Starscream was complex, nasty, and backstabbing. He was an understudy of Machiavelli, sounded like Brian Johnson of AC/DC, and could change into an F-15. What more is there to want?

You guys dislike Starscream for the same reasons I like him... He was a whiny jerk, sure... but he was cool. He looked cool. He always had 'pretty good' ideas, but he usually got screwed. I always wanted to see him have his cake and eat it too... He was the most underdog like of all the decepticons. and plus he just kicked ass.

He's the only transformers character who I didn't feel depressed about when he died. Sure, he turned into an awesome-as-hell jet, but what good is a jet when it's a whiny asshole?

My favorite Decepticon. If he wasn't for the fact he was kind of loyal toward Megatron, he would have been scrap metal by now though.
