I don't think it is intelligence which makes it so a fool escapes, maybe it is just the old saying 'fortune favours the foolish.' Plus sometimes it is amazing how sometimes, things like rats can escape capture. It may be just luck. If foolproof means making instructions so simple, even a baby can understand it, then I certainly don't think a fool would be very intelligent not to understand these!

Never get into an argument with a fool. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Nonsense. Fools are often criminals--and criminals can always be fooled and defeated by the intelligent and strong forces of good!
