Yeah, important transition girl group with Joan Jett and all that, but we are talking about the top bands of all time, which they ain't.

There's no way the Runaways should get in before Fanny....the women of Fanny were all awesome musicians, resulting in critical success and a HUGE following among other musicians. The Runaways could never say the same (though I think Joan Jett -as well as Lita Ford, to a lesser degree- solo is totally deserving).

they were ok, but they didn't have any credible success..I think the first all-woman band to be inducted (possibly the only one at this point) should be the GOGO'S...very different musically, but they had commercial success, both as a unit and Jane Wiedlin and Belinda Carlisle solo, and plus they did have a classic #1 debut album, no small feat considering that radio was very reluctant to play an all-female pop/rock band at the time (as the Runaways can sttest to)....i think Joan Jett solo has a much better shot...

Pretty damn good for a bunch of 16 y/o girls in the first all girl rock band from the US

A terrible girl band- so many other women ROCK and blow them out of the water.
