 | irishgit (138) 05/30/2007 | Anybody remember Gary Hart's Follow me around comment?
I sure do.
I was in the room when he made it.
Me and the rest of the staff exchanged WTF? looks.

 | GenghisTheHun (168) 02/04/2006 | Many candidates are shallow morons. They don't have a clue except what is scripted for them. When these types go off on their own, the professionals cringe.

Sometimes in politics you need to go for the long pass, but most of the time, this isn't advisable. Think before you act, a lot of politicians have been blown off the water because of careless mistakes. Look at Gary Hart in 1987 or Howard Dean in 2004.

 | magellan (153) 02/05/2004 | A friend of mine was chief of staff for Representative Mike Pappas when Pappas decided to sing Twinkle, Twinkle, Kenneth Starr on the House floor. Needless to say, Pappas was defeated in the biggest House upset of 1998, and my friend was out of a job.
