my sales associate was named francisco. he was very personable and got me close enough to the deal i was seeking. at one point a manager came to me with a counter offer that was more than the listed price by 200 dollars. i immediately pointed out their clerical error, and my salesman francisco set his manager straight. bottom line, sale price 4477 with a 3 month/3000 mile warranty. i felt okay with the purchase price even though i had to pry the warranty out of them. now i see why they were so reluctant. this vehicle had a certified sticker on the windshield and francisco informed me this meant that the vehicle is sent through a complete inspection, and if any thing is found wrong it is fixed. the pick up truck drove pretty much like new. 2 days later i called the dealership to ask if they could fix a few things. they insisted that if it was a warranty issue i should take it directly to the dealership. i then gave them the entire list of things i thought would have been covered in the "pre sale certification process". wiper delay not working, fog lights in operable, a clunk in the transmission when accelerating from a dead stop, the ball hitch was welded in the receiver, cruise control didn't function, and brakes pulsated bad when applied at high speeds (65+ mph). i later found out that the cab leaks when it rains. i thought this was quite a list, and certainly they would have to do something to help me on all these things since they claimed everything checked out? the manager named jauquin spoke to me like he was a politicain skirting the issue, always refering to "sold as is". he provided me with a copy of their certification inspection sheet that sure enough brakes were on there. still no budge. he had decided that he was giving no concessions and i would get nothing from them. i will never buy a used car again without haVING AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC certify all systems check out. they were no help and i will be taking this matter to arbitration. corrupt business practices, terrible customer relations, and dishonesty all emerged in my last transaction with this company. BUYER BEWARE

100% SATISFIED! Thankfully I found Seaport on craig's list and just went in to see that they had a variety of tgrucks that I really liked. They worked with me and are putting new tires on my Dakota as part of the deal. Ron, the sales guy, was a pleasure to do business with, so was the management+ I'm totally recommending Seaport! Thanks, Barbara

Found a truck online so drove to Sea-Port and of course it had been sold recently, so they said. Traded a vehicle in and was told that I didn't have to sign the title, well a couple of days later I got a call saying that I needed to come back to the title, I told them that it was over 100 miles round trip from home and I would show up on the weekend, the following 3 days I was called 4 more times about this. While signing the paperwork I told the salesman and sales manager that I would be using my own credit union, on the following weekday I call to see if they could fax the paperwork to my cu and they said no problem (lie) they never did and sent the info to their own lender, when it was all said and done it took over a 1 1/2 weeks and a lot of phone calls to Sea-Port and of course the interest I had to pay their lender BS, they even argued with me about sending the title application to my cu. Just for this I will never go back, but that isn't the worst, I paid over $25,000 for a vehicle and have put some money into to make it mine in the 2 months of owning it which isn't bad it was when I was driving down the freeway in Washington at 73 mph and started to feel a shake, now mind you at this time I have owned this vehicle for just over two months and 4,000 miles later I have a vehicle in the local dealers shop to fix a disintegrated wheel bearing, destroyed axle shaft and repair the the axle housing, just over $2000 out of my pocket. I was told my vehicle had been inspected, I guess I should have known that they were shady when the vehicle hadn't even been detailed, my first purchase was for fuel (empty tank).

This people sold us a car that was not cleaned, and the timing belt an 800 dollar service past due, when I confronted them about it they just dismissed the question saying that their mechanic will only check to see everything is operating properly, well if they are not detail oriented then I dont know what properly means, in addition the car had an empty gas tank, in other words they are terrible greedy people!

My experence was very bad: Found a post on the Internet, called them, drove a long way, told car was sold, tried to get me to buy a totally different type car for more $. The next day they called to tell me they had taken one in in trade and it would be priced same as the one I didn't get before. The day after that I went back to see the second car. "It is is arbitration at the auction house. We will have it in two or three hours." My wife asked them what their bottom line is for the car and they started with a price $3,500 over what the other had been priced at and what I had been told over the phone. As we left the manager became insulting to my wife. There was a lot of other garbage invoved but basically it was clear that everyone we talked to contridicted what others had said by phone. Yahoo has a similar post from someone else several months ago, seems they haven't changed. Wish I had read the Yahoo post before going there.
