 | Sundiszno (32) 03/06/2004 | I never did complete the study of the Russian language that I began years ago. It may seem daunting due to the Cyrillic alphabet, but I don't think it's any tougher to learn than, say, German. The professor I had as a teacher was a native Russian whose family had been kicked out of Russia by the Bolsheviks, and who spoke about a dozen languages well(Russian, English, all of the Slavic languages, German, French, and Italian). He claimed that the only non-Russians who could get Russian pronunciation like a native were People from Naples; apparently Neapolitan has a lot of sound combinations that equate to similar sounds in Russian. For whatever it's worth...
