 | GenghisTheHun (177) 03/01/2007 | He was the son of Alfred the Great so he had good immediate genes, and life lessons. He probably was a great as his father and had many military and civil achievements.
He had at least fourteen legitimate children and a brood of bastards as well. This goes to show that Eddie didn't spend all this time at the office.

 | dimadick (0) 02/29/2004 | Son and successor of Alfred the Great. United Wessex and Mercia under his rule. He conquered the Danelaw (Viking held territory of England centering around their five fortified strongholds: Derby, Leicester, Lincoln, Nottingham and Stamford). Higly effective military commander, concidered to have surpassed his father.
