Aside from his lying, cheating, stealing, perjury, ingratitude and atrocities and massacres committed in his name and with his consent, there isn't really much bad to say about King Billy.

Yes a British monarch who is fondly remembered each and every Glorius Twelth where ever freedom is revered. The glorious and immortal memory. He fought for our glory and deliverance on the Green Grassy slopes of the Boyne. King William III, Prince of Orange, saviour of the Britsh Nation.

He was Dutch and for what it is worth technically he was a 'British' monarch not 'English'. Then again the English were ever a parochial people. A plague on the so called royals.

Largely ignorant of the problems facing England, William III was content in leaving the problems of England for his wife, Queen Mary II, to solve. Under William and Mary's rule, England underwent a profound political transformation in which Parliament clearly defined the King's powers and limitations and declared Parliamentary supremacy over English affairs, establishing a system of checks and balances between Parliament and the Monarch, much like that of the American form of government today. Overall, William and Mary were ineffective and seemed content to let the Parliament make most of the decisions critical to English prosperity and governance.
