Used to enjoy his commentary more when he covered Big XII games on a regular basis. Solid, but sometimes goes overboard with level of enthusiasm.

Absolutely dreadful. I heard him working the Colonial Athletic Assoc Championship Game (2006-2007) GMU vs. VCU...and he is worthless. If I heard him mention "cinderella" one more time, I planned on throwing a brick through my TV set hoping to get Dykes to shut his mouth. I stopped counting at 36 times. I'm sure there were some frat guys playing drinking games and getting hammered at the number of times they had to put another one down when they heard "cinderella". What a miserable announcer. Jimmy, the GMU run was last year...a discussion or two about the memories is fine...but announce today's game, fool. And this is coming from a GMU alumni!
