This blender is the worst!!! It leaks, the top sticks, it's noisy. Kitchen-Aid is NO help. Never again.

I love love love this blender! It makes frozen drinks in about 10 seconds flat. It is awesome!

I am on my way to return my KitchenAid Ultra Power KSB5 5 speed blender. It only managed to puree some pea soup successfully. Not only did the pulse not work but it could not handle a drink with frozen strawberries and a few cubes of ice and liquid. Sad I expected much more from something labled KitchenAid since I also own a KitchenAid pro mixer and a Kitchenaid pro food processor! COME ON KITCHENAID get with it! Sadly, this is the 4th brand of blender I have tried. Now to choose a new brand....

Consumer Reports rated blenders in the Dec 04 issue and the KSB5 was 12th down the list for good reason! It is so noisy, underpowered and costly. The Kitchenaid reps don't admit that there are any problems with those units either! Many have been returned including mine yet they say few have been returned! Read the Consumer Reports ratings so you can make a good decision and not waste your time. If you think Kitchenaid is missing the boat as I do, please call them so improvements can be made!
