I love the smell. I just spent money on a scent called "Amazing Grace" . The smell of Caress is better. Think about coming out with a line with this scent. You can have a roll on perfume, a spray, shampoo, conditioner, anything. I love this clean smell. It can be better than the name I mentioned in the first sentence. You have a great product. Take it to the next level. I would buy it. Women today do not want to smell like a flower or a fruit, they want to smell clean. We work more than 8 hours a day and want to smell fresh. Please do this.

This soap is similar to Dove in a lot of ways, particularly in regards to its consistency, lather, and moisturizing agents. I used to like its scent a lot when I was younger, but have since then started using fragrance-free products. I'd say use Dove instead if you are looking for a bar soap!

As so many others have complained - why can't these companies leave well enough alone. I was never able to use Dove because of the smell - it made me sneeze and I frequently ended up with a rash. I used a harsh deoderant soap, although it dried out my skin, but, at least it didn't smell like Dove or cause my skin to break out. Then, I found Caress. It was great and I used it for years. Then my sister came for a visit, we were at our mother's house, they both use Dove. I was going to bring my own soap, but, my sister said she had Caress. That evening I got in the bath, took the bar of soap in my hands and lo and behold my nose started itching and I starting sneezing. My sister swore up and down it was Caress, I didn't believe her. Several months later I ran I of soap (I buy in bulk). I went to the store, bought what I thought was my favorite soap. I was so disappointed when I took my bath. I ended up giving the rest to my mother. I have tried to find another Caress bar that I can tolerate, but, I am getting tired of buying and giving or throwing away. I'm not young and my skin needs a soft, delicate soap, but, if I have to go back to my old deodarant soap I will. Why, oh why, do these companies keep doing this - oh wait, I think I answered my own question. I keep buying their product - and more frequently than when I liked the product. What a great scam these companies have some up with!!!

Ok, no one is probably going to believe this, but I suffered with acne all my life, until my 40's. Then I went to a dermatologist who diagnosed me with rosacea. Rosacea can make you break out like acne. So I used pills, creams, every prescription for rosacea with little results. Then I decided that my skin was sensitive and turned red when I used my prescriptions so I decided to try caress on my face. I thought maybe my face needed gentle treatment. I was so right. My rosacea and acne disappeared. I have had clear skin ever since using Caress. I had a follow up with my dermatologist and he said to keep doing what I'm doing and I havent seen him since. Its been something like 2 yrs. and my face is still clear. So yes I definately do recommend Caress, its so soothing, even for rosacea. By the way, this is the Caress beauty bar I'm talking about, not the wash, just the pink bar soap..I love it.

My family has always used the traditional bar of Caress. We are now using Tahitian Renewal and we love the smell. I need to buy both because my husband likes the traditional bar better but the kids and I like the Tahitian. Either way, I don't feel clean unless I use Caress. Whenever I'm forced to use another soap I feel icky. :)

I have been using Caress Berry Indulging, and the thick lather leaves your bathroom smelling 'berry' aromatic. I noticed that when I was in the sun, I was shimmering like crazy! I was trying to figure out if it was the Nivea lotion I was using, but then I realized that it was this indulgent body wash! It's a nice girly product, leaves skin moisturized, feeling fresh, and leaves your skin smelling great for the entire day!

Simply put, I LOVE CARESS!! I just recently started "reusing" caress, and I can't for the life of me remember why we ever stopped using caress in the first place!! I don't remember if caress left a "film" in BOTH the bathtub and face bowl or what! But anyway, I just started using caress and I can't believe how soft it has left my skin! I even use it in the morning as a face wash! And the fragrance is just like back in the 1980's when I was using it as a teenager! Of course back then (at least I don't think!) caress had all of these body washes back then like they do now. I'm just going to stick with the beige colored "ol' school" scented bath bar! I just saw an old clip of the late 80's caress commercials on YouTube with the slogans "Skin feels best when it's caressed", and that is SO TRUE!! I sure wish I can get a download of the music from those commercials- that music is really ROCKIN!!! Thanks!!

I have been a caress user for years and to the same fragrance (Body wash, beauty bar and/or body lotion): Caress Silking Body Lotion Silkens w/ Creamy Moisturizers(Vitamin E) NATURE'S SILK (3-0521804500-4 the 9oz. bottle). To be honest DO NOT LIKE your company's newer products such as the Exotic Oil Infusions(Moroccan or Japanese scents)nor the Glowing Touch, Cashmere Luxury, Berry Indulging. The Tahitian Renewal is kinda OKAY. But which is not as great as the Daily Silk which smells the closest to the Nature's Silk. The Nature's Silk has been the only product I have ever brought by the case, now that I am on the last bottle from the last case I had in my closet from 2005 that I drove over two states to find and is now nearing its end is there any way your company could bring the Nature's Silk back only if it is for a limited time for those of us that are dearly missing this product and fragrance. You could called it "Caress's Customers Favorite: Nature's Silk-Limited Edition", that would be one of the best things ever. And since I have been using Daily Silk body(which smells a little like Nature's Silk)when do you think your company will think about or produce a lotion for the Daily Silk without glowing or glittering properties. I bought up every bottle I could find anywhere. Don't tell me it wasn't selling so that's why you eliminated it...people were paying thirty bucks a bottle for it on ebay. Who are the jerks that make decisions to stop producing great products? Nature's Silk was always the best of that line with the nicest,cleanest scent and silkiest texture. I miss it and I want them to bring it back. I've contacted the company several times but they don't seem to care about pleasing their customers much.

I miss the ORIGINAL "Nature's Silk" body lotion by Caress. I hate the newer products and wish that you guys would stop trying to reinvent something that was already a winner! Did it ever occur to you that some people like lotions with out all the shimmer and glow junk?? Not all of us are teens.. Well, I'm deeply saddened at not being able to find my "favorite" body lotion anywhere around. PLEAsE make the ORIGINAL type of Nature's Silk body lotion by Caress again for all of us who loved the smell, and the way it made our bodies soft and moist without the residue of oils and etc!

  I used the old Caress for as long as I started purchasing my own soap and have always loved the feel of it on my skin, the scent was subtle and I loved it. Now the only bar soap that I can find  made by Caress is the NASTY SMELLING Glowing Touch!

Why do these companies have to take something that sells well and IMPROVE (SIC) it? Leave it alone..........Please! This new stuff is so strong smelling that even in the box in my linen closet, I can taste it  when I open the door. I have tried giving it away to people and nobody here wants it.

Some people are very sensitive to scents and this one gives me an instant headache! Please.........make a new one if you want but leave the old for your loyal customers. If I can't find the old someplace.........I will have to switch back to Dove.

I Love your soap I have used it for I know 25 years or so now I love your caress cashmere body wash I wish you would make a lotion that smelled like the Cashmere body wash and i bet you will sell alot of it The name and fragrance says it all. Thanks for allowing me to voice my input

makes your skin feel so wonderful---touchably soft is no exageration and also cleans your skin immaculately. they could improve on their fragrances though;especially original silkening touch. for that reason i can't give it 5 stars.

I have used Caress soap for a number of years because it was the one soap that didn't dry my skin or make me break out. They came out with these new great flavors but I either can't stand the smell of the saop or I am allergic to it. I really don't care for the original scent and they took the other two fragrances off the market leaving with no choice but to find another soap to use which is very disappointing. Please bring back the other fragrances so I can once again use caress.

I want to bring this NEW BAR CARESS SOAP to everyones attention, of the caress Glowing Touch body bar with shea cream and Gentle Skin brighteners, I REALLY LOVE THIS NEW SOAP!! Its not heavy and not strong in scent like the other bar soaps of caress, and not heavy in the shea butter like the oil of olay soaps either!! this caress with shea butter, smells light in fragrances, and moisturizes perfectly without the heavy feel of being moisutrized!! this NEW caress is Yellow bar in color, and makes one skin healthy and soft in appearances, i highly would recommend this new caress body soap and the new glowing touch body wash!! (i didnt try the body wash yet!!), im more of a bar soap user!! but, this caress glowing touch and the original caress I highly recommend!!!!!I hope to hear some comments of people who tried this caress Glowing touch bar soap!!!! I FEEL CLEAN AND FRESH WITH THIS ONE!!!!****UPDATE ON SEPT 13TH 2005**** Well i finally tried the glowing touch body wash and happy to say it does what it says it does, my body does feel definitley soft and not drying, my skin seems to look and does feel healthier in appearances, this glowing touch body wash does rinse off VERY well, just like the original caress body wash... i notice that unilever makes both dove and caress, i love the dove bar original soap, but for body washes i recommend caress for the summer, doves body washes are too heavy and geared towards winter skin conditions, whereas caress bars and body washes dont feel heavy on my body at all, it rinses great, no residue, I FEEL REFRESHED, with caress body wash of glowing touch!! PLEASE TRY THEM, YOU WILL BE PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS!! I AM!!

Caress is expensive in Philippines yet I still continue using it. Imagine a bar(Nature's Silk) cost from 80-150 pesos!!! but I dont care coz I don't need a lotion after using it anyway. I just realized i've been using it for 4 straight years now. I use it for my face and body and it indeed made my face clear, free from pimples and made my skin really really soft. It made my elbows and knees so soft even without lotion. My friends never stop noticing that I have a radiant skin and I always endorse them to use Caress as well. What would I actually ask from a friend to bring when back from the US is a Caress bar- not chocolates or make-up.

NO!!!!!!! God NO!!!!!!!! My college girlfriend used this and the smell gave me a blistering headache. Can they put any more perfume in that #$%@ bar of soap!?!?!? I HATED the 'saturday morning after' shower at her place because of that terrible soap. . .a pox on this list-maker for brining up a bad memory.

I love this soap! It leaves the skin soft and smelling clean. I even use it for my face and it is marvelous. No tightness No dryness. Just soft clean skin. It helps control my breakouts although it has no type of medication. see, medication sometimes irritates acne...Thus, a gentle soap would do the trick. It takes time but you'll see the results.

I have used nothing but the original Caress Body Bar soap ever since I can remember. Well I experimented with a couple of other soaps, and had to use other body bars when I forgot to bring my Caress on vacation, and through the years (I am 37 now) I have found that all the other soaps make my body - especially my arms- feel sticky and dry. Caress is the ONLY soap that doesn't make me feel that way. If I ever knew that the manufacturer was going to go out of business or stop making it, I would drive around to every store and buy up every last bar so I could have it for the rest of my life!

The Purple Caress is amazingly wonderful! It smells so awesome and feels great to bathe with. My skin is so soft and smooth and I think this soap is the best...please don't ever quit making it and selling it. I have not had any problems with it staining my tub. Any residue that may appear from it comes right off with Comet. I love this soap ...it is the absolute best!!!

I have very sensitive skin. I am very prone to bladder infections from the use of scented soaps and washes. I've used caress for almost a year. It is the only soap I havent shown sensitivity or infection from. I'm not changing!

I used to use Caress as often as possible. It smells wonderful and it makes your skin feel soft and smooth--at least that's how it made mine. I only used the original one, though: Nature's Silk (I think that's what it's called). I only stopped using it because I wanted to try out Olay's bodywash. (I like it so far).

I tried the Lavender{purple) caress and it stained my fiberglass tub.shower enclosure, I tried comet, bleach ..i srubbed it and it made no dent in the stain it left behind. its totally unacceptable that a body soap could leave my tub stained. It is only one year old as i just moved into a brand new house. Im outraged at Caress Soap Company!!

I was a user of Caress for many years until I tried the purple soap. After using it, it has stained my bathroom tub and sink with purple rings that I have tried everything to take off. If i cannot find anything to remove it I will have to replace. I will never use the purple Caress again. Maybe I will continue to use the pink.

I bought the new purple Caress Shimmering Body Bar and it has the worst smell and is not the least bit softening to my skin. Where is the shimmer???? The fragrance almost made me sick. So very disappointed!!

Caress Body Bar stained my fairly new fiberglass bathtub. The stain will not come out.

I just turned 50 and I have been using Caress bar soap for many years. It is better than anything else I have tried to remove my makeup. I think Caress is part of the reason I look 20 years younger than I am. With my face and Caress we could sell alot of soap.

Caress Shimmering Body Bar (the purple box) is great. I normally prefer body washes, however, this is an exception. It leaves my skin very soft, and it smells absolutely wonderful!

Caress Shimmering Body Bar is purple. It stained the soap dish in my new bathtun wrap around kit. I can't seem to get the stain out. I've never had a soap do this before. what a shame. I thought the soap was sort of harsh.

This stuff smells pretty nice--subtle, but refreshing. It doesn't seem to dry out my skin as much as some other brands, too, which is a plus.

I love its fragnance and I really feel cool after the bath. It makes me fresh after the end of the day. But alas! its not available in India. I hope HLL launch the product as soon as possible here in India!!!!

I love Caress soap's mildness. The delicate, flowery scent smells wonderful. This soap does not dry my skin out like some other harsh soaps..as a result, I don't get dry winter skin after using this soap.

Pleasant fragarance, and not overpowering.

Caress also has a really pleasing aroma, moisturizes well yet rinses off better than Dove. While it's not my top choice in the deodorizing department, I still consider it to be in the top 3 of my favorite bar soaps. If I couldn't get my hands on a bar of Dial or Tone, I would be happy to have Caress instead.
