Coast is a great soap. I love the smell and it makes me feel clean. Some people I know think Coast smells really strong but I like it. I have only one complaint. Like, Maija Bailey I find that Coast does stain my lighter colored washrags.

I love the smell, but Coasy leaves a terrible amount of soap scum in the tub!

This soap is tied with Irish SPring as my favorite. It has a fresh smell and nice color.

We have used Coast for years with no problem. In the last year or so, however, the blue dye in the soap is staining my light colored wash clothes. Any one else having this problem? Was there a change in formula? Tired of buying new wash clothes! But admit it is the best deodorant soap around.

Reminds me alot of the Dial gold bar.

Coast is my favorite scented soap. It makes me daydream of days by the ocean when I shower with it. In my experience I do not find this soap drying to my skin, but refreshing. But like shampoos, I have found soap products work best if you alternate 2 or 3 of your favorites instead of using exactly the same product every day. Water itself is extremely drying to the skin. Coast soap is aptly named. It's scent is clean, fresh and outdoorsy, evoking memories of sunsplashed days by the sea. I like to keep spare bars in my drawers, closets and suitcases to freshen clothing.

Dip me in a pool of chlorine and I'll feel like I just took a shower using Coast. It's one of the most drying soaps out there. I like its fresh scent, but that can't make up for the fact that my skin suffers when I use it. Unless you have really oily skin, I don't suggest trying Coast.
