I have had a very hard time finding soap that does not cause some type of reaction on my skin, It has gotten so bad with all the stuff they put in soap l have had to wash withy soap and then shower again to remove the smell, I finally tryed Lever 2000 the original scent and YEAHHHH I have not had any type of reation,, so thanks lever for making a great smelling soap with out all the harsh chemicals that all of the other companys use

Wondering what to make of it.

I had used lever soap a lot of years and really liked it. Now is is terrible and it feels like slime is on your skin after you use the new version with vaseline. I hate it and will not buy it again.

Please bring back the ORIGINAL-PERFECTLY FRESH LEVEL 2000 SOAP...My system is so SENSATIVE...and...that was the only soap I could use. I have one bar left................What will I do? I get a horrible headache with the new formation...when..I smell it on my husband. He's unable to use that new formula level 2000 before coming to bed because the smell wakes me up. PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL...DESPERATE.

OMG...I'm so glad there are others out there who feel the same way I do. Back in 1992, my dermatologist told me 2 things. 1. Keep my hands off my face. 2. Use Lever 2000 Antibacterial Soap. For the last 15 years I have faithfully used Lever 2000 and had perfect skin. However, during the last year, I have had the most acne in my life. I couldn't figure out WHY. Now I know! It is definitely the Vaseline in the soap. I'm so diappointed that Unilever discontinued the ORIGINAL Lever. The latest version of Lever 2000 stinks (literally). I can remember when Lever smelled fresh and invgorating. The Vaseline in the soap now makes it smell awful. ONE MORE THING...how can Unilever put their ORIGINAL product on the shelf in our stores and call it ORIGINAL when it clearly ISN'T the original version...they added Vaseline??? I say BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL!!
BTW...Unilever lost my business as of today. I asked my doctor which soap I should use now and he mentioned Safeguard Antibacterial Soap (the white soap). For 30 years, Safeguard has kept their formula the same. I found a 10 pack at Walmart.

I love lever 2000 it has the best scents and I feel extremely clean after my shower.

Well I used it for years until they took it off the market. Level Bros. don't seem to be listening to their faithful consumers. Perhaps if we were not so faithful. I will no longer use anything made by Lever Bros. Hey, they don't care about us why should we care about them? Bring back the soap!!!!!!!!!!

Vaseline is for the crack of the butt, not the whole body. I agree with the majority of the comments that it leaves you with that smell of an auto mechanic with oil all over him and a slimy/greasy feeling. Please bring back the old version of your antibacterial soap and take the vaseline out of all your soaps.

Is the Lever 2000 antibacterial liquid soap the same thing? I see that it's available in gallon sizes on the internew.

The new vaseline version is terrible. It makes me feel slimy and greasy. The old 2000 was all I ever used but is no longer available. I will have find a new soap.

The New Lever 2000 with Vaseline is horrible. I have used Lever 2000 old formula for 15 years. Loved it. It was the only soap I used. I have only tried the new formula once. It made my skin very itchy and it stinks. Why they would stop making something that works is beyond me! If they wanted vaseline in their product why couldn't they make it a new line and keep the old line too? I will not be buying anymore Lever 2000. It is no longer for my 2000 parts!

I'm so glad that people have posted their views on the newer "Vaseline" version which is total crap. The older Lever 2000 Original version was the best overall soap I have used. It did a good job of cleaning my skin without overdrying.

Unilever should look at these comments and bring back the old version.

wonderful soap all-around. can't see how you could improve on this product. your skin feels remarkably soft and moist for days after you use it. you don't have to bother using moisturizing lotions. this soap the best of all soaps by far. miraculous formulation of ingredients.

I can't stand the new lever 2000 with vaseline. You do not feel clean. I think they should bring back the old lever and let the public choose. If the do not put the lever 2000 back on the shelves I will have to find another soap.

Please bring back the BLUE Lever 2000 (Pure Rain). This stuff was great. It smelled great (actually wakes you up) plus it was smooth on the skin.

Another desperate plea to Lever 2000 to PUT THE ANTIBACTERAIL BAR SOAP back on the shelves! I have had severe skin breakouts since I was little and this is the ONLY soap that makes them GO AWAY totally! I cannot find the soap anywhere now and my breakouts that were so embarrasing when I was younger are back now. I may know why it was discontinued. I read an article stating that Triclosan (the active antbacterial ingredient) was being pulled from products due to the discovery that when mixed with the chlorine in tap water, it produced trace amounts of ether, (which may be poisonous). Whether or not this is why thyey pulled the formula, I do not know, But I have noted oher products using Triclosan have also changed their formulas to exclude the chemical. I upset as it took me years to find the perfect soap for my complexion and body chemistry.

My Dermatologist referred me to use Lever 2000 Bacterial Soap for my skin condition. I cannot find it anywhere. And now I know why. It has been discontinued. Please bring this product back on the market. I have tried everything else and no relief. Hoping and praying your product was the answer.

Dear LEVER 2000 manufacturers, Please - Please - Please put the original Lever 2000 Antibacterial Bar Soap back on the shelves of the many distributors so that it will again be available to the general public. I only use that soap but have run out and I've tried other soaps which you manufacture but nothing seems as good for me. Other soap seems to be too dry or too oily for my sensitive skin. They have changed it and not for the better it has a chemical smell and it does not lather up as well as it used to. What were they thinking?

I had used Lever 2000 anti-bacterial for a few years and loved the scent. I recently bought the energizing Lever 2000 because I thought it was the old soap (because of the orange box) but was disappointed to find that it was a green bar that does not smell nearly as good and I agree with others that it gets used up very fast. I hope that the old bars are brought back. They don't need to change and improve the boxes and colors and scents to compete with all of these new products. I think a lot of people were satisfied with the original scents.

My 5-star rating applies to the original Lever 2000 anti-bacterial soap. I can't believe they discontinued it! I have very sensitive skin - it cannot take the perfumes and additives that are in other soaps, or in the new line of Lever soaps. Believe me, I've tried them all! Forget them! Bring back what works! I am dissappointed as well at the loss of a soap I've used for years. I need an antibacterial soap for my skin that doesn't dry it out and isn't perfumed, which aggravates my allergies. A healthy product that worked. I'd market it, not discontinue it. People with alllergies would love this stuff.

I searched online for ORIGINAL Lever 2000. Then, I saw that many folks were in the same search mode. It was my favorite -- my only -- soap for almost 20 years. I want it back. The NEW scents and formulations are not an option -- very disagreeable scents and very short lived bars. Why change what isn't broken?

Apparently, I'm one of the *many* who *loved* Lever2000 Antibacterial Bar Soap, and are now extremely pissed that it's been discontinued. The ginseng one is a poor replacement, and all the others in their line are awful. I certainly hope they listen to their consumers and bring it back.

I agree!! I used Safeguard for 30 years, then switched to Lever 2000 antibacterial since it had moisturizers. Now it's not available!!

The terrible rating is for the fact that Lever has now completely disappointed me not once...but twice. First they took the original L2K soaps off the market which I had been using from the start, and now the newly formulated antibacterial bar (which I had somewhat begrudgingly switched to)...the only antibacterial BAR in their product line is gone too!!! As a health care provider in the hospital for 12-16 hours per day, 3-5 days per week, I can't begin to count the number of showers I have taken. Lever HAD a great product. I keep hoping that this is some scheme along the lines of the great Coke conspiracy - you know, come out with a new horrible formula and go market crazy until consumers are tearing down the corporate walls demanding the original which will then be released under the term classic. Lever had a loyal customer for years in myself, I would happily return too, if only they would pull their collective marketing heads out of their collective marketing !#*%! - well, you get the picture. WOW, I cant believe lots of the consumers here love the original bar of lever 2000, i tried there aloe way back, and it dried my hands out,so today at august 2005, im here to say i finally bought the lever 2000 energize with vitamins A, B5, AND E, AND Ginseng. I washed my face with it and happy to inform you all that my complexion feels smoother with this energize bar, i havent tried it on my body yet, but i presume its great, it did well for my face, this bar is turquoise in color and smells like a fruity floral, not strong in scent but mellow scent!! i will rewrite this preview on the energize bar later to see how it works for me in this summer heat!! I used to Love the original antibacterial Lever Soap the new Moisture Response is the worst soap I have ever bought. I hate the new scents of the new Lever and they melt away so fast. I have actually went back to another soap I use'd to use. I'm hopeing they will bring back the Original Lever 2000 antibactrial soap again that was the best soap around.

I had a very bad, all over contact dermetitis a few of years ago, and my doctor recommened me using Lever 2000 Anti Bacteria soap. I have photos to proved it too. I have not used anything else, since. It helped clear up my break outs and it is so soft and lathers up real well. I have recommened it everyone I know. I used to use nothing buy Dove and I don't want to use anything else buy Lever 2000 Anti Bacteria soap. I wish they would bring it back. I have been to Ebay and everywhere else looking for it. Why would they take such a great product off the market. Why not leave a great product alone. Confused. Not only that, I started breaking out again when I had to start using a different soap. I found Dial anti bacterial, but the more you use it, the more it dries your skin and then you itch constantly. Whew, confrused.

I like the smell of the Aloe HYDRATE, smells kinda like watermelon gum when dry, but it just leaves you smelling clean and fresh. Doesn't dry out your skin either.

I have been a Lever 2000 user since it first hit the market. However I purchased some Lever 2000 fresh aloe HYDRATE and the odor is deplorable. I am returning it to the store!

5 star rating on the ORIGINAL Lever 2000 body wash. The new scents are horrible. The original was a great body wash with a nice clean smell. Bring back the original!

Best soap on the market. Good for sensitive skin and you feel like you took a shower without feeling dried out. Price is rather low as well

This rating is for the antibacterial version. I usually use only antibacterial soaps because I find them more effective since I exercise regularly. Tie with Dial and Safeguard as my favorite. I am mystified by the bad reviews of this soap. Maybe Unilever is selling different formulations in certain parts of the country.

I would LOVE to have the original Lever 2000 scent back. The new ones are HORRIBLE and strong. I miss that first scent and no longer buy this brand because of the changed scents. I rate the original scent a 5star, yet i dont even want to give the new Lever a half.

I HATE all the new Lever soaps. The scents are overpowering and the bars almost melt in the shower. The original formula was the only soap I found that dealt effectively with breakouts. I loved it, but now it seems to be gone. Can anyone recommend a soap similar to the Original Lever? It certainly isn't any of the new formulas.

The new formulation of Lever 2000 is HORRIBLE. Bring back the old version! It was the perfect bath soap. If I'd have known that Unilever would reformulate and ruin it all, I would have stocked up MORE.

When Lever 2000 first came out, I loved it and bought a whole cabinet full of the soap. I am about to run out so I tried the new scents. UGH! Unless someone can tell me where to purchase the original scent, I will have to find another brand of bar soap.
