    Bad experience with this detergent - the powder, not the liquid. Number one, I have a teenage son, and his clothes can really stink. This detergent does not get the smell out. When I open the washer after the cycle, the smell is ridiculous. Secondly, this detergent has faded all of our colored cottons. I did nothing different except change detergents. Good thing my son kinda likes the new look for all of his t-shirts. Otherwise, I'd be in trouble.

    Arm and hammer detergent is one of the best values out there. It is reasonably priced and it smells fresh, cleans great and it's not too concentrated like some of the more expensive brands. So if you use the recommended amount, you are good to go. Plus it makes our clothes so soft without any fabric softener. It also comes in a natural plant based formula for all you earth friendly people. I give it two thumbs up!

    This detergent is good but not the best. It leaves your clothes smelling good and fresh but doesn't clean as well as Tide.I think if it had enzymes it would be as good as Tide at getting food and dirt stains out.I would still recommend it for people who don't get alot of stains or dirt on their clothes.

    the arm & hammer essentials is the best. It smells amazing, and works great. It also is good for the earth. The only thing that sucks about it is that it is tested on animals.

    Arm and Hammer is an excellent product.I buy the Arm and Hammer plus Oxyclean.It works GREAT.It removes all stains and make my whites sparkle.I hardly ever have to pretreat anything.And my clothes smell CLEAN and look new.I have used alot of expensive brands and this is the best bar none! With being a single mom with very active kids,I have to be good to their clothes and to my pocket book and this product does just that! Their fabric softners and dryer sheets work great too, but I still love my Snuggle :)

    I am addicted! I got started on Arm & Hammer Clean Burst because it was on sale at Krogers. I was a GAIN user previously. I have an athletic household with two boys and my husband. I haven't found a stain that I couldn't get out, but I automatically use spray & wash on all stains. If you are like me and LOVE the smell of clothes detergent..try this. Wash your clothes in Arm & Hammer clean burst POWDER (liquid doesn't smell as good) and use Suavatel Clothes Conditioner (softener). The combination is a powerful, clean smell. Our family and several of my friends LOVE IT!

    I use to really like this detergent before they changed the formula of the liquid.  Now it is terrible.   It removes odors, but does nothing for stains and the fragrances are really ghastly in terms of the strenth of them.The powder still seems to be alright.  Does an okay job of cleaning and deodorizing and the fragrances do not seem to come of as strong.  The powder also says it helps prevent fading due to chlorinated water, which seems to be true although it is not as effective as Tide or Cheer.  I have noticed the prices of the powder have gone up in my area even over that of the liquid formulations.  It costs almost the same as the Cheer powder here so it is not worth a repurchase for me.

    I like this bc it's just the two of us and it cleans naturally and well for our needs. We don't have kids or stained clothing, so mild is better. Sometimes I will even wash with Woolite in the machine to help preserve the fabics of our dress clothes. If someone has sweaty clothing from the gym, I recommend soaking the clothes in one cup of baking soda and one cup of vinegar. Then wash as usual. UPDATE: tried the new Essentials formula with plant-based surfactants and it's awesome - smellls fresh and leaves no residue. I will buy the Essentials formulation from now on!

    I find Arm & Hammer laundry detergent does the job very well, and I use it most of the time. I use the powder and not the liquid as a rule.

    My boys practically live on the baseball and soccer fields so dirt and grass stains are what I know best. I've used Tide, All, Wisk and every other brand of detergent there is and I can honestly say that Arm & Hammer seems to work just as good as the more expensive brands. I'm not sure what kind of dirt some of you are playing in, so Im not sure why some of you haven't had as much luck with it as I have. I definitely recommend it, tho. I receive so many compliments on how good my clothes always smell, too. People are shocked to hear it's Arm & Hammer, but I now have several friends using it. Thanks A&H;

    This product is average, when I was living on a school budget I would use this detergent. It get's the clothes clean, but doesn't leave a clean smell like other detergents do. I do have to give it an A+ on whites though, it has gotten most of my whites back from a dingy grey color.

    I used to buy this when I was poor, I mean I am not rich now, but I was forced to pretty much buy everything as cheap as I could. Getting back to the point, this is a cheapo detergent on the high end of cheapo, meaning it works better than Gain and Purex, but not nearly as good as All, Wisk, or the other higher end detergents. I can't say if it comes in a liquid, it's been so long, but I always got powder for some reason, and it stinks, and just barely does the job and sometimes not even that. I honestly hope I never have to use this again.

    Excellent cleaner for the price and very effective when combined with an oxi cleaner.

    This is a good product for the money. For tough stains, however, even the bleach alternative is not strong enough; you will need to pre-treat. But the price is always reasonable and the scent of my clothes is fresh not redolent of a bordello or ersatz mountain-fresh-by-babbling brook-with-hint-of-wild-trout-cooking-on-open-flame or some crap like that. I buy it frequently and believe you would not regret doing so.

    Arm and hammer truley is magic. It is true that this product does get down to the threads of your clothes and freshens your laundry. No more dull pet odors either. The price is very reasonable to.Thanks Arm and Hammer.

    To me, you get more Bang for your Buck with this detergent. It cleans my clothes very well, and let me tell you I can have some really dirty laundry. I'm talking blood, mud, etc. The one scoop, really works with Arm & Hammer and I have some big loads. The only con I can say about it is that it may not suds up as much as some may like but hey as long as it gets your clothes clean who cares. I would also like for the powder to have more of a scent then it has, but I found that the liquid Arm & Hammer has that covered and works just as good. Hands down though, as a single mom the price is what gets me and I am not giving up the quality.

    my cat pees on any laundry left on the floor and Arm &Hammer stain and Odor control Detregent, mixed with oxyclean really gets the smell out of the clothing. by itself it is okay. and oxyclean w/ any other dtergent does not work as good.

    Doesn't get really dirty clothes as clean as I'd like even with a small load. I don't use it very often.
