I have never been so excited to be watching basketball in my life.
jeffdog9000 04/18/2008
Honestly, when this place is packed, and a championship is on the line...this place is so loud all you can hear is your thoughts. It will give you cold chills. You will leave here with a memory you won't ever forget. This place has so much history, yet it is very modern and new. It gives you a bright, cheery feeling that can not be described. If you have the oppurtunity, you won't be dissapointed!
knrstz 02/24/2008
Best arena ever been to. Although only 13,000, much taller than Walton arena which is around 20,000. Noise is deafening
osuparker 01/06/2008
You can't even hear the band playing! Its ominous structure is beautiful and it has a life of its own.
magicmarcus307 01/06/2008
Amazing views of the court no matter where you sit. Extremely loud atmosphere. Great fans.
jborgen1 09/22/2007
So loud that during a wrestling match the lights shattered .....
Cleanorth 04/25/2007
Nice arena, college feel, Everyone wears orange
MustangPokeFan 04/09/2007
There's nothing like the GIA experience! Best home court advantage ever!
okstate2 04/08/2007
Most intimidating and rowdy place to watch and play basketball.
texomapoke 02/28/2007
The loudest, roudiest, most exciting BB atmosphere in college hoops!!
jj9098 02/03/2007
This is the best basketball stadium and the loudest that there is.
Ross2020 05/22/2006
You leave this place after a game and your ears will be ringing for the next 2 days. The place is so STEEP. All the fans are right on top of the court. There is nothing else in the world like it. Plus it is NICE. Best facility in all of college sports.
lukydawg20 05/06/2006
The most amazing college basketball atmosphere the game has to offer. A winning tradition, sold out crowds, and noise that seriously hurts your ears! Super nice yet still intimate. Crowd is right on top of the court and the student section behind the goals are second to none. Overall the absolute best arena I have been to!!
rush4threeku25 02/19/2006
not enough people close to the court
RMphan 02/12/2006
You won the national championship twice 60 years ago, get over yourselves and your shocklingly horrid arena. If you want to visit a real arena, drive to Fayetteville and be awe-struck by Bud Walton's gift to the state of Arkansas off of you rednecks shopping at Wal-Mart. Ahaha, hail Arkansas!
mkmommy22 01/05/2006
From this Cowboy fan - this is the greatest arena! Even a friend of mine (Sooner fan no less) says this is a great arena! The BEST IN THE NATION!!!
asdf2341234134 12/03/2005
the best, no question about it
wess7788 11/18/2005
The arena is so steep the fans are close like they are right on top of the court. Best place to watch basketball and when the Cowboys get going its deafening!
inoitalll 10/29/2005
its really not that great
osu4cowboy 10/15/2005
the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
massah1571 09/27/2005
This is by far the greatest venue to watch a college basketball game in. Even with the recent expansion, it is still the loudest arena in the country! Although tickets are not easy to come by, if you ever get the chance try to attend at least one game in your lifetime there! I promise you this...you will not regret it!
BOSOX1 08/01/2005
WOW!!!!! This arena alone makes me want to be a Cowboy fan. I love going to games and watching games when the cowboys are playing at GIA. This place is so awesome words can't describe nothing compares.

pburr10505 01/22/2005
Awesome place for basketball games. Very loud and intimidating for the opponents.
pokes2525 01/22/2005
Only Phog Allen and Cameron Indoor can hold a candle to GIA!!!
russdwright 01/22/2005
IT AIN'T CALLED THE ROWDIEST ARENA IN THE COUNTRY FOR NOTHING :)
johnsjg 01/22/2005

PistolChad 01/22/2005

backphil 01/22/2005
Coach K is afraid to play here. Bring it on Dukies! How's about a home and home?
DCPokeFan 01/22/2005
To rate GIA as anything but GREAT is to admit you either a) never have been there for a game, or b) left with a L in the win-loss column!
CHasenpflug 01/22/2005
GALLAGHER-IBA ARENEA............THE ROWDIEST ARENA IN THE COUNTRY!!!!!!!
okst1988 01/22/2005
If you have ever been there, you would know there is no way you could rate it lower than this. It might deserve a sixth star
osu_freeman 01/22/2005
There is nothing quite like GIA!!!
excelsior30 01/17/2005
Truly a great place to see indoor sports after reinovation- it is even at a great place (close to stadium). -UPDATE:This edifice has such tradition that even Eddie Sutton is hereby honored on court here after passing Henry Iba in wins.- Great idea, why not two major sports all in one area? Brilliant!
ostate7373 01/10/2005
It is a great place to see a basketball game. It is loud.
Cowboyzcrazy21 01/01/2005
Man, I went to my first OSU game at G-I and it was INSANE!!! It's soooo loud, its unbelivable! My sister had to carry her baby out of the arena, b/c it was to loud. Its BY FAR the greatest arena to watch a game at, i cant imagine how great it would be to play there!
chasemashburn9 1 12/14/2004
ya man i go to alot of the games this is the loudest arena ever if u see people holding there ears when we play Sam Houston State think wat it is like vs. kansas, texas or oklahoma ya thats right its ear blistering this is the best and loudest arena in the nation babyDicky V
trebordallas 10/25/2004
This arena has been spiffed up in the last year, but it is NOT one of the top arenas in the country. United Spirit Arena at Texas Tech is a far superior facility, along with several others in the Big 12. Those posting its praises are biased locals at OSU. Brag, brag, brag
Tusrom 09/01/2004
One of the most amazing places to watch a game. I've watched dozens of games there and Gallagher is the most intense atmosphere in College Sports.
stinger316 08/02/2004
Makes your ears hurt

I was a student at KU and went to many games in Allen Field House. It was clearly a rush to be in there, but for loudness and school spirit posessing an Arena, Gallagher-Iba Arena far exceeds Allen Field House. My ears felt like they were going to explode after the 2004 OSU-OU game and the OSU-Kansas game. Few opponents will every get an opportunity to experience since seats will be sold out for decades to come.
osu4sure 05/04/2004
Wow its loud there.
OKState918 03/31/2004
There is truly no better place to watch a basketball game in America. Not only is Gallagher-Iba one of the loudest arenas in the nation, but it has one of the richest heritage of any arena as well. Countless greats have graced its floor (which is the oldest original floor in the nation), and Oklahoma State's proud wrestling tradition can't be forgotten either.
Kent Layton 03/02/2004
Everyone says its not numbers, its intensity. I say why can't you have both? Why does it have to be one or the other? I've been to both and by far Allen Field House at Kansas University is superior in both intensity and numbers.
