Great characters for a cereal. They have been around since 1932!!!

For as long as I can remember there has always been Snap Crackle and Pop and it is one of the few things that has remained constant in life as almost everything else has changed. Only recently did I discover that they have been around for even longer than I thought. I came across a website that had a three minute 1939 film that was shown in movie theaters that had Snap Crackle and Pop doing battle against Soggy Mushy and Toughy for control of a kid's cereal bowl. The characters (and the packaging) has evolved but the idea has remained the same. In the larger scheme of things it's insignificant but just the same, it's nice to have something you can still hold on to from childhood.

When I was a kid, I loved these guys and if I remember correctly, I even had a coloring book featuring them. Since then, as with all older cartoon cereal characters, they have depreciated in value, having to skateboard or rap to appeal to today's kids. Honestly with as savvy as kids are today, these probably don't work anymore...but they still can make me smile.
