My ex's dad works for Oracle and travels the world as part of his job. Oracle have a huge base in Britain, so I dread to think how large they are in america. Very good reputation and very prestigious. Larry Ellison obviously has done very well for himself and must be a good businessman.

Larry Ellison rubs me the wrong way. His flash, his public bickering with rivals, his wealth - it all culminates, for me, in a fairly striking conclusion that this would not be a guy that I would like to spend at time with. However, Ellison is one of the richest, most powerful men in the world, in large part because he leads (and leads well) a company that builds the boxes that power the Internet. Oracle's products are top notch, its message is powerful, and by all accounts it is a well run company.
