Electricity was first installed in houses somewhere between 1880 and 1890. Without electricity, there would no television, no video games, no movie theaters, etc.

Electricity eliminates the need for candles, smokehouses, etc. Electricity is wonderful. I give it a 5 star rating.

Without the discovery and the management of electricty, I would not be typing this response.

Really increased quality of life.We have TV,ovens,Air conditioners,etc.

Made most of the inventions on this list possible. Should get credit for all of them.

Electricity has had an enormous impact on society, considering how much we have come to depend on it. Nearly everything Americans hold dear is made possible by electricity-to think of life without it is mind-boggling. While I think we have developed a kind of over-dependency, there is no getting around the fact that it has molded the course of human civilization-both for the good and for the better.
