Doesn't appear to be an outright crook, but seemed pretty adept at the mega-corporate version of Three Card Monte.

His overweening hubris was dented by the dot.com cratering, but he's still lurking around.

I'm not convinced the guy is really a brilliant business exec. I'm tempted to quote Michael Douglas as Gordon Gecko, saying "If he ran a funeral home, no one would die." but that may be over-harsh.

Time Warner's merger with AOL was one of the biggest mistakes a major company ever made. Great to know that the company founded by legendary Henry Luce and the Warner Brothers could be brought to its knees by what amounts to a soap bubble novelty act. Just shows you that these so-called Geniuses of Business can't even figure out a way to make bigtime money off of something as pervading as the Internet. And to think the knuckleheaded media made this guy out to be some kind of rare and magnificent creature just a few years ago. Don't swallow the hype, folks...
