He's a visionary and a creative genius as a businessman. He's not afraid to take big chances and he has a big heart. It's sad that there are so many people who simply resent him for being rich.

Nice going selling to Time-Warner who sold to AOL. All at firesale prices. Moron. Yeah or maybe Ted Noticed Jane Fonda isn't the Jane Fonda of 1963. She was 70. I guess so was he but hell he has a billion dollars.

Nothing against the man for making a success out of himself. I love TNT and TBS. They are two of my favorite networks. But I'm not so sure I appreciate his monopolization of much of the television industry. Time Warner is the "Wal-Mart" of the TV industry. "Hey, did you hear that Ted Turner and Jane Fonda broke up? Jane found God, and Ted found out it wasn't him."--- Robin Williams.

He may be one of the all time great businessmen, but it turns my stomach everytime I go to watch a movie and his name pops up.

I don't fault him for being a successful businessman, for owning a network, or for buying up nearly every old film in existence. I can even manage to pretty much ignore his hateful out of touch political opinions. What rots my socks is the way he had the poor taste and unmitigated gall to colorize old black and white films. It not only damages the artistic integrity and is a slap in the face to those who produced it - but it just LOOKS bad! You can tell a colorized film a mile away because there are always parts that will not be colorized - like for instance the teeth will nearly always be this sickening grayish color. With his know-it-all attitude Turner would probably be an obscene jerk in almost any profession but in this one he is an aesthetically and visually offensive one. He needs to concentrate on his business and nasty political opinions and leave the creative decisions about film to those who were and are capable of creating them.

It's curious to me that a man of principle would use America to enrich himself, while at the same time trashing America.

Foolish recent comments by the radical left-winger.

To Alan: Not very many, if any "mouthy men with money" have donated millions to charity as Mr. Turner. Also, I disagree with you on the "mouthy" part too.

Just another mouthy man with money!
