When you use the lower digestive tract for a sex organ, an unnatural act, funny things happen. The iron law of unintended consequences applies and to abate the epidemic, stop the unnatural acts. Most AIDS is spread by taking it up, well you know.

You've got to attack the root cause of a problem, not its symptoms. This problem will only go away with widespread conversions to morality and self-control.

Saying each country should take care of their own problems is a rather simplistic and naive view of international policy. Ironically enough, that same reviewer claims that we did the right thing in invading Iraq because we liberated the Iraqi people. What exactly have the Iraqi people 'contributed' to the US? The policy that clearly is being advocated by this reviewer is one of isolationsim, unless of course it fits the political mold of his ideology. It's wrong to send $15 Billion to Africa to help fight a deadly disease, but it's OK to spend $200 Billion+ on liberating Iraq? The AIDS crisis is one that affects all countries. The disease is spreading rapidly in Russia, a nation that had fortunately been isolated from the disease for quite some time. This is the consequence of inaction on the part of the entire world community for failing to take a strong stand to contain this disease and find a cure for it. The United States is the richest nation in the world, and therefore has an obligation to do all that it can to alleviate suffering whenever possible on any and all corners of the globe.

Old news...aren't we all supposed to be dead by now (or so we were told in the mid-80's)? A little abstinance goes a long way to solving the AIDS situation...eh? Let's put our money into something MORE serious and deserving...finding a cure for Cancer does it for me!

We need to find a cure for AIDS right now!

Countries can try and intervene by teaching sex ed in school and by giving out contraceptives. This will help but not eliminate the problem, and you can look to the US as an example. I know many people who have unprotected sex with numerous partners and are iv drug users and they are fully aware of the risks; you can educate but individuals will always have freedom of choice, and thus AIDS will continue to be a problem until a cure is discovered.

Countries need to deal with the problems on thier own. The US needs to help its own AIDS victims before helping African AIDS victims, people who have never contributed to the US before. The UN should not be in charge of this mess- they'll give the money to terrorists and will create yet another UN bloodbath. Each country should deal with the problem on thier own.
