"The Pink Panther Series", "Dr. Strangelove", "The Party", "The Mouse that Roared", and a series of English black & white films he did in the 1950s were all great fun. Thanks for the memories Peter, we shall miss you.

Let's all understand that most actors are jackasses in real life. Alec Baldwin and Dustin Hoffman are two incredible actors, but also total jerks. That being said, Mr. Sellers was the master of deadpan comedy. Nobody could replace him, as evidenced by Steve Martin. The Pink Panther series will forever remain my all-time favorite comedies. He could pull off anything, keep a straight face, and make everyone around him fall over laughing.

One other movie of his you don't hear much about is 'The Party'. If you love Peter Sellers and haven't seen this, your missing out. Nothing beat seeing his movies in the theatre either. What fun times those were. He is quite missed.

I used to love the Pink Panther movies growing up, but I was disappointed to learn that he was not a very nice person in real life.

Though many have written on how eccentric and sometimes cruel Peter Sellers was at times in his personal life, he remains one of my favorite actors. This admiration is certainly a function of his prominence in some of my favorite films, namely "Dr. Strangelove" (in which he was originally supposed to portray four separate characters) and the Pink Panther series. "Strangelove" alone evidences how versatile Sellers was (i.e. comedy, dramatic, and straight). No one could have pulled off Inspector Clouseau as well as Sellers, with everyone in on the jokes save Clouseau himself. Richard Henry "Peter" Sellers was born September 8, 1925 in Southsea, Hampshire, England and died of a heart attack in London on July 24, 1980.

Good at comedy. I liked his Pink Panther movies. he was funny as Clouseau, He was good in the Party. One of his best movies was Being There. as the a litte slow gardener who was taken in by a rich man and mistaken for this brilliant man who had these wonderful thoughts and Philosophies. good movie too. Died too young.
