Kind of like a regular iPod, except smaller and cheaper. Same great interface and stuff. Too bad they discontinued these.More importantly, iPods Mini are great for modding. I bought one with a broken hard drive on eBay for around $25. I swapped out the hard drive for an 8GB Compactflash card and reinstalled the software. Now it has double the capacity and slightly better battery life.

Well I've owned one for 3 years now and it has served me well. Never had a problem with it and I use it nearly every day

I want to download audiobooks from the public library and it is not allowed on iPod. If I had known they restricted you to buying everything through the iStore, I would never have purchased it with so many others out there that allow it.

I won mine off of the Pepsi iTunes promo and it is really good. The battery life is pretty good and like Magellan said the iTunes website is very good, a little too diverse for my taste, but none the less a good site.

I worked for about a month and then the battery started only lasting 5 hours and then i only lasted 3 so its great if you looking for a fashion statement but not if your looking for a reliable battery. Even if you look at the ipod website it shows that the battery has a limited life spand and that it depends on the ipod and the use.

My new best friend. I don't leave home without it. It has made this year bearable. My favorite music--to go. And I stress music. No more having to hear vulgar anti-music (bass heavy hip hop and rap) blaring out of cars. I'm in my own world. And it's great there. I have actually LOST WEIGHT because working out gives me an excuse to use my POD. GREAT GOING APPLE! Let's get more mini-IPOD colors---fire engine red, bright yellow and orange would be nice. Plus, the ability to move songs from the POD to iTUNES. Maybe their next generation will have this feature.

Hey- Check out this great site that is giving away totally FREE iPods! It's a completely legitimate offer, and this company has already given away $4 million in FREE stuff! I know you all think this is just a scam. I did too until a friend of mine got a free iPod of his own. The offers aren't that bad and you can cancel any time. All you have to do is join, complete an online offer, and refer friends to do get one of your own. That's it! Here is my referral link. To help me get my iPod, click this exact link to join, or copy and paste it into a browser: http://www.freeiPods.com/?r=16263913

This thing is small - I mean really small, and it's cool to be able to choose your color. As a music freak, I need something that holds more than 1,000 songs, but i would imagine that for most people 1000 songs is plenty. Just like with the 20Gb iPod, you will pay a premium for buying a iPod Mini as there are definitely MP3 players that offer better storage/$ - what you are paying for with the iPod is the compatibility with iTunes, which offers the biggest selection of music in the business, and Apple's superb engineering and technical support. For me, this is well worth the 40% or so price hike.
