Everyone knows Speedy's little battle cry: "Arriba, Arriba, Andele', Andele', yee-ha, yee-ha, yee-ha!". At one time Cartoon Network allegedly had Speedy removed from their shows in the daytime (he can be seen sometimes in late night shows, apparently) because apparently they are afraid of offending Hispanic Americans. However, many feel that these feelings are "misguided", since Speedy is a very positive cartoon character. Cartoon Network apparently maintains that Speedy is not "banned", but is "considered" for ratings purposes, and some say Speedy is a bad role model for kids because he smokes and drinks. Cartoon Network eventually put Speedy back on the air (probably due to the publicity of the thing), so luckily all went well for little Speedy.

Speedy is kind of like the Robin Hood of the mouse community. He has the wit of Bugs and the speed of Road Runner all used for the good of mousedom. He certainly drove ol Sylvester and Daffy off the deep end but never with malicious intent. In fact most of their demise was self inflicted, Speedy just happened to be the intended unstoppable target. Three cheers for Speedy, the fastest mouse in all Mexico.
