Sean Hannity is such a toadie! He has all the personality, charm and wit of a snake and the intelligence of a newt! He looks suave and smooth like a rotten egg salesman and is devoid of any class! Why didn't he ask Sarah Palin about her own daughter being born a scant 7 months after she married? Abstinence? HAH! Morals? HAH! And now her daughter has followed in her footsteps! He is an original, first edition copy of a RACIST! If i want to regurgitate, I listen to him! I now know why his father never married his mother!

This is the Professional Wrestling version of serious political debate for less-informed people. If you think that Hulk Hogan is really getting bashed in the face with a crowbar, then you believe that FOX is Fair and Balanced. Hannity & Coombs is ACTUALLY a parody of itself, but the viewers aren't sophistaicated enough to get the joke. The show's "liberal" Alan Coombs is actually married to the sister of the uber-conservative political pundit, Monica "Nixon was My Hero" Crowley. The show is basically rough-scripted with easily identified "good-guy v. inept bad-guy" stereotypes of liberals and conseratives. This is the product of a generation of dirty, underhanded lies and deception by "Nixon's Dirty Tricksters" and the Lee Atwater political tactic to "play the referees" by calling the American mainstream media as "left-wing"

Alan Colmes is liberal but not as bad as Sean Hannity. Hannity is trying so much to be Rush Limbaugh Jr. I actually never watch this show.

Rupert Murdoch has perfected the mechanism for delivering right-wing propaganda in the guise of a news program--so much so that remarkably, there is still a segment (albeit a shrinking one) of America that hasn't caught on to the scam yet. If Fox would simply come clean and drop the pretense, it would be far more tolerable. Where the unabashedly liberal Air America is upfront about their ideological persuasion, Fox is grotesque and slimey in the way that they misrepresent themselves. So having stated the obvious, this show, like all Fox news shows, is just another mechanism for disseminating right-wing propaganda. Five minutes of watching the show is all you need to understand it's format. Under the guise of being a point/counterpoint type of program, we are treated to Sean, the good-looking, well-groomed right-wing mouthpiece. He is the star of the show--make absolutely no mistake about that. Alan Colmes is only there to help prop up the Fox illusion. Hannity gets a clear majority of the air time, and Colmes is never allowed to take Sean to task. And, it's not that he's incapable of doing it. Anyone who has listened to Colmes' radio program should be well acquainted with him enough to know he is much sharper than the milquetoast commentator he's forced to play on television. I'm sure Fox pays him well. It's the only way he'd agree to put up with it. On Colmes' radio program (also a part of the Fox syndicate), Alan seems to be able to speak more freely. Interestingly enough, it is the only talk show (that I'm aware of) that does not screen callers.

Absolutely not!! This show is not hurting America. This is the only show that tells the truth about whats going on in the world today. If you don't like this show I think it's obvious that you do not like to hear the truth and you lack common sence. Try to look pass your bias to see the truth! Sean Hannity is a very wise person.
JoanM 11/13/2004
This show is hurting America. Hannity is a big fat liar and Colmes is a eunuch.
rozandi 10/13/2004
It's sad to see Hannity making a fortune by dividing the country with lies and distortions. He is nothing but a Foxnews 'hired gun' to recites Republican 'talking points' every chance he gets.
maxpevey 09/23/2004
Never miss the show even though ALAN makes me ill,, and especially when he says things like let me keep my fingers crossed that the jobs report will be bad before the election date He really adds nothing to the show except that he is a prime example of the left wing MORON that will never GET IT He should never be allowed to ask or comment on anyone services to the country since he choose not to serve under the pretense of a CO
Lit'l Bits 08/20/2004
Sean Hannity always appears to have researched a topic. Alan Colmes [sp?] appears to be sickly - and getting worse since his marriage. Start eating meat again, Alan. Alan will support and defend anyone Liberal....regardless of how silly some of them appear. Many of his arguments make no sense at all...and like many other liberals - acts as if Freedom of Speech belongs only to the left. If someone with so much as a right wing leaning speaks - shame on him! Fellow conservatives - BE AWARE!! FREEDOM OF SPEECH BELONGS TO THE LEFT WING LIBERALS. WE MAY NO LONGER SPEAK OUR BELIEFS. (I THINK JOHN KERRY IS WORKING ON A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT TO ADDRESS THIS CHANGE.)
PMD 08/06/2004
If you want to see Alan Colmes, look for him on the milk carton of your choice, because you won't see much of him on this show. It's really just another vehicle for Sean Hannity to bellow shallow populist thinking at his guests. Much like Fox's car chase coverage, it's devoid of all substance, but can very occasionally be fun to watch. Fox's idea of balance would be to put Frederico Franco with Adolph Hitler and label Franco from the left. Count the minutes of time given to each host, and you just discovered the true balance of Fox News.
psoergel 08/03/2004
Is there a zero star? This show is like a black hole.
Joe23665 07/31/2004
The one I really feel sad for is Colmes. Uh, don't you know they don't take you seriously there? Just more hot air bringing global warming on sooner.
smokeyjoneslov er 07/31/2004
All the Fox shows are republican white trash springer shows. Hannity is a messy dresser and needs grooming--the fact that hes a moron is besides the point-- everyone on fox is white trash. Colmes needs...well colmes is being used by Fox and the whole fox/springer macho republican hatemonger thing is simply putrid.SHame on fox for existing.
politicsrules 07/30/2004
Hey rozandi, the DNC called and they need you back to give you their talking points of the day. Look, Hannity & Colmes is fair and balanced- you have a conservative debating a liberal. But they argue through facts not feelings. Cross-fire is just a show for CNN to try to compete with Fox News, which CNN simply can't do.
goidahonationa lguard 06/13/2004
As a member of the ARNG I have come to appreciate the fair and balanced show the Hannity and Colmes offers. It is nice to see a conservative who is supportive of our troops and will not put up with the far left wing garbage. The left has continued its scheme of undermining our president and putting our troops in danger. Hannity supports the troops and is not afraid to tell people how he feels.
OriginalNickst er 04/29/2004
People just don't understand what news ANALYSIS is all about. It's not Hannity's fault he is a well spoken conservative and that Colmes spins the questions. Can any liberal ever answer a question without bringing up what George W. Bush had for breakfast? Keep it going Sean, you are a great role model for America, a good role model for Catholics, a good role model for children! God Bless America! Nicholas Hanni
Fresnopip 04/28/2004
It is the WWF without the physical fighting. Hannity goes Do you smell what the Dems are cooking and the crowd cheers. Then Colmes goes the Republicans don't say their prayers and eat there vitamins and the crowd cheers. Absolutely no information provided in this show. It is the McGlaughlin Report without any reporting.
Patty P. 04/28/2004
Hannity can't stand it when he's wrong, he uses the same talk over the guest routine as other fox talk hosts. Also truth challenged like the fox network.
jw-411 04/28/2004
Twists the truth or just plain lies as he goes along. Hannity is certainly not a journalist, nor does he have an interest in truth. Hannity doesn't even seem very bright. Check Amazon to see how many people who bought his book are now trying to sell it. Pure self-serving drivel. Colmes is just a token patsy.
gunfondler 04/28/2004
I'll just say that colmes is the only conservative on the show who makes sense.
Adamdidit2u 04/28/2004
Republican Propaganda....Gibberish!

DISGUSTING TV
donbygrace 04/23/2004
This is the only talk show that gives you both sides of the issues - the RIGHT side (Hannity) and the WRONG side (Colmes).
Active1 04/08/2004
I teach highschool debate and current events. My highschool students find Hannity and Colmes laughable! Their research shows that it is another example of a growing trend in media today. Debate about real issues is lost in the din of noise and static coming from these partisan talking heads. For Fox to label it Fair and Balanced is a joke that even 14 years can see through.
KUpolo 04/01/2004
If they are going to have a show that proclaims to show both sides of the issues, they should show both sides of the issue. Alan Colmes is weak. Calling him a liberal is an outrage. He is a self proclaimed moderate. They should hire a liberal that is as outspoken and overbearing as Sean Hannity. I'd like to see how well Hannity could match up against James Carville. Now that would be an interesting show.
Redoedo 03/31/2004
Revolves around a spineless chap and an abrasive and arrogant neoconservative that constantly yells at his guests. Thanks, but no thanks.
bubbaknowsbest 03/26/2004
Refreshingly right leaning and a better choice than NBC...As long as they don't get too complacement they'll do ok... Denny Miller on CNBC is gonna give these two a run for their money!
otis 03/12/2004
hannity is rude overbearing and a loudmouth i'd fire him. nothing fair & balanced about him
hendo 01/29/2004
Absolute Joke. Put an arrogant loudmouth in Hannity against a guy who couldn't argue his way out of a paper bag, Colmes, then throw in another loudmouth outspoken pundit like Bill Bennet and that's good TV? Hannity's so annoyingly emotional that he'd happily make something up or change the subject to win an argument and of course Colmes curls up in a fetal position every time.
Misque13 12/14/2003
I think this is an excellent show. I feel sorry for Alan though, what a poorly informed man. Sean has wit and humor and also shows a kinder side. It's nice to see the other side of the coin in a positive light. For years I've listened to nothing but left-sided media, ie: Jennings, Rather, Brokaw and I'm sick of it. This is so refreshing.
ariadne52 11/16/2003
I love this show, watch it for Sean NOT Alan...
Asap28 10/23/2003
There is no liberal view given on this fraudulent attempt at fair and balanced.
tallyb 09/11/2003
Sean Hannity is more then great. He is wonderful warm and kind, Alan Colms is rude and weak. he has no communication skills. He never litsens.
DeathRattle 08/25/2003
This is more of a rating for the format of the show than the two personalities. Both the democratic and republican side are presented very well by the individuals. However, it always feels like a tug of war watching the show. Everything their party does is right and the other party is wrong. Also, if the guest is known for being more right or left wing, then you have a two on one situation. One will back up the guest and at the same time, the guest will avoid answering the other's question or pass him off as an idiot. The show is too much party affiliated instead of the individuals' beliefs, and is more of a chaotic, uncontrolled interview set up to the point that comments are just flown everywhere and the locomotive comes to a crash. That is why I prefer Bill's show (his format) anyday.
yoitsandy 08/24/2003
How many shows on the networks would show the range of views as this one? Not many, you get the liberal slant and then they have the nerve to call it middle-of-the-road. I guess because it makes you look at bith sides and think for yourself, many people don't like it. Either they are lazy or afraid people thinking for themselves would show the liberal arguments lack logic.
anmalone 08/24/2003
I do like the format, personalities and quality of this show in comparison to CNN’s new Crossfire. The skills, profession and demeanor of Colmes and Hannity are roughly equivalent: Talk show hosts, polemicist and interrogatory unlike Crossfire where lying Political hacks, flacks and attack dogs (With one Democrat being a certifiable psychopath) are put up against some what sedate Journalists in a open forum with a hostile crowd. The real problem with this show for the left in this discussion is when the backgrounds of the Left and Right are the same; the left always appears weak and foolish. On CNN, It takes a lying Psychopath like Carville or Begala to carry the day when no one cares for the truth just scoring points.
mixman 07/18/2003
Colmes is the most irrelevant man on the talk show circuit. The only reason for him is to strengthen the presence of Hannity; who is a non-knowledgeable brut. To make Hannity an irrelevant part of the team, swap Colmes with a pseudo-journalist like Geraldo.
Moosekarloff 06/25/2003
Hannity's just another idiot rightwing ideologue parrotting the same old tired nonsense we've been hearing from the misguided and mentally retarded political right for decades. This guy is an arrogant, out-of-touch bagboy who evidently suffers from feelings of adequacy that translate into his strutting superior posture. A phony. And not a terribly bright one at that. A proponent of the High Volume Discourse Philosophy, i.e., he who shouts the loudest, who exercises the least amount of civility, wins the debate. He also solidly buys into the other bit of the rightwing talkinghead ethos: Repeat a Myth or a Fallacy Long Enough and Often Enough and It Becomes the Truth. Colmes, not terribly swift himself, is a prime example of that enduring and increasingly insignificant type, The Well-Meaning But Intellectually Suspect Wuss/Wimp Liberal. Pathetic. I really don't know who's worse on this program, although Colmes is more sympathetic since he doesn't carry a chip on his shoulder like Shorty does. As a result, this show is neither illuminating nor informative, neither diverting nor entertaining. Just a typical rote exercise in mouthing obsolete partisan nonsense that purports to be The Right and Proper Way. If you have any brains in your head, or any sense of political history, this show is enough to make you want to throw up.
abichara 06/22/2003
I don't really like the show. I think both Hannity and Colmes are okay, but the format of the show though is a bit choatic. It's a free for all! I turn on the show sometimes and all I see are four people plus Hannity or Colmes arguing some issue. They pick guests from the extreme ends of the ideological spectrum for the purpose of making the fur fly. Geez, if you want to watch WWF, turn on another channel. Watching political hacks argue it out is not very interesting. Political analysis shows should be interesting and informative; O'Reilly, Chris Matthews, and Joe Scarborough do a good job of this. Hannity and Colmes is too narrow in focus; having Republican and Democratic cheerleaders relaying their parties respective positions is rather boring. Some independent analysis of the issues would be helpful.
Dave Hofius 06/13/2003
this formats sucks all I wanted to say is ;;;;;; QUESTION'''' why are there always lots of young children around the kill zone when the terroists leaders are nailed. Looks like the snails that they are put themselves in the company of the public and especially children. What cowards they are. They are murdering their own supporters. Have you noticed the press coverage????? how craze the the reaction is of death and disruction among the terrorists. Its like a cartoon..All Stupid. They act like killing is wrong. What is their position on killing??????hun

never seen this one either
cyberian 04/17/2003
Another one of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. vehicles for delivering right-wing propaganda in the guise of a news program. Colmes is cast as a weak-sister liberal to Hannity's handsome, aggressive patriotic Conservative. Show guests, topics, and situations are scripted to elevate "Hannity's" views and denigrate Colmes. Wake up people!! This is cheap manipulation and you are all being brainwashed!
BIGBABY 02/28/2003
Hannity and Colmes is a great show. Alan uses the same liberal garbage and just sits there, while Hannity really gets into the debate. One of the only shows where you have a really good, heated debate.
sherry langrock 02/25/2003
It would be a great show if alan colmes would stop using the same old liberal garbarge even when he has been shown how wrong he is. He tried to say American helicopters were used to gas the Kurds. Wrong, they were Russian helicopters. When will he check his facts, not just read from the liberal check sheet?
mindkind 02/07/2003
Presents both sides of each arguement, excellent stuff.
Solenoid DH 09/09/2002
One half of the show is superb. :D
mediterra 07/08/2002
Hannity is great. Colmes used to be a total idiot, but lucky for him, Hannity is getting something through his bonehead now and then.
