RateItAll: The Opinion Network

Someone is going to have to fill me in about this conflict. It appears to have died out before May, 2005, when I joined up.

I enjoy hearing them banter back and forth. I respect them both.

Seems to have lost some of its steam lately. Either I'm going through a kinder, gentler phase, or he hasn't made as many imbecilic observations as he used to. UPDATE: I see CTVFan is claiming to be the obvious victor. Must have some of those damn French Figure Skating judges at work again. I demand a recount! LOL. UPDATE: As my teenagers would say, this is so over.

This rivalry spawned probably the funniest weblist item name ever (ClassicTVfan and irishgit would become friends, go out and get drunk then come back to CTVFan's house for endless hours of Pokemon fun), so I can give this no less than five stars.

They've both made great contributions to Rate-It-All and I don't think it'd be the same without them so it's good that they're co-existing (not getting along), but there's no clear winner here.

I don't think this has ended, nor do I think there are any winners (there are no winners in war). Though I do think they've gained some sort of mutual understanding for one another though. Note to ClassicTVFan: I don't think all the phasers and pokemon in the world are as dangerous as an irishman with a couple of beers down him...

I didn't notice that there was an actual winner in this conflict. It just seemed like two people from two entirely different worlds got tired of arguing and decided to coexist rather than fight. Please note that I said coexist. It's not the same as getting along.

There is no doubt this has been one of the most popular rivalries on RIA since I have been on the website. Sometimes it was fun to read their comments back and forth, and sometimes it wasn't fun. But both seem to be good people..they just live in two different worlds....obviously...

They seem to be getting along better, and I'm glad. In a recent posting, Irishgit even said he would miss ClassicTVFan if he did not post here. So I'm glad they have decided to make nice, as I like them both.

This quarrel is so pointless. Irishgit is a rougher person, and CTVfan is family friendly. A simple clashing of two different worlds. The R rated world and the G rated world. They both need to grow up a bit and just leave each other alone. I'm not cheering for anybody, because I don't want to get involved. Their both nice people.

Oh I'll give the edge to CTVFan on this one, I mean how can irishgit's cynicism, sarcasam and even widsom compete with the power of Pokemon, the Klingons and the hidden meaning of Chik-Fil A's message Eat Mor Chikin

Unlike the insane JKooks, irishgit doesn't merely use profanity to shock, but actually just has an honestly different opinion. Still, his focus on realism and approval of such things as profanity does seem very strange in my book. Like JKooks, I am the obvious victor in this contest. Besides, I have the phasers and Pokemon, right? :)

I always enjoy reading their comments to eachother. Irishgit and ClassicTVFan, in some alternative mysterious universe, would be friends.
