I think that this program is a very big step considering people look to bush as a dirty murderer anyway. but I think this was conjured up by Hosea Williams and I give him the credit but yes its definately worth continuing

This policy initiative designated funds for training, worker release and education programs to help get prisioners re-entering society acclimated to the work force. Being the general manager of 6 different facilities over the last 6 years I've hired numerous ex-cons. Some worked out, others did not. However my experience has in general been very positive with those I have hired from these half-way house programs- particularly the ones operated by federal government. I'm a big believer in people being allowed to redeem themselves- I believe it is incumbent upon our society to help those who have paid their debt to get the education, or training, they need to succeed in the real world. It benefits society by widening the pool in the labor force, reducing the chance of recidivism and helps those who are trying to help themselves.
