 | ColtSeries70 (14) 03/09/2007 | He is not bad, but he is not great either.A bit extreme, but you have to give him credit for supporting legalization of medical marijuana and his anti illegal immigrant stance. He is quite smart actually. I personally would not vote for him, and yes, he is unnecessarily homophobic, and against frre trade, but I can think of worse- Like Bob Avarkian, Michael Moore, Al Sharpton, David Duke, Gloria Steinem, or Tom Wells.

 | edt4 (99) 11/23/2005 | Scary, true, but how much scarier than what we have in there now? Who could do more damage than Dubya has already? I can't say I'd ever vote for Buchanan, but his intelligence is impressive and he's often made some cogent and insightful remarks, remarks that were often more on target than anything the Democrats were saying. If only he could get over his homophobia and his virulent obsession with illegal immigrants...

 | CanadaSucks (45) 03/16/2005 | Sure it's scary. Would he also manufacture a bullsh#t war as well? Would he get a hard-on for killing brown-skinned people who aren't Christian?

 | bebe23 (2) 10/14/2004 | No, if Pat is elected President, you won't be able to run fast enough to get away from the nuclear holocaust, or the 2nd Coming that ensues.

 | abichara (60) 02/24/2004 | I don't agree with Buchanan on a couple of points, namely his views on cultural and social issues. I don't really care for his Euro-centric views either concerning racial matters, but I do have a lot of respect for his very keen intellect. Very few people can communicate themselves as well as Pat Buchanan can. And some of his views on foreign policy aren't too out there either. He's anti-interventionist unless if it's for defensive purposes and he believes that America will suffer if we overstretch our resources throughout the world. Buchanan is one of the few foreign policy realists out in the public eye. He sees foreign policy through the prism of states interests, which is really what matters at the end of the day. I don't agree with Pat's methodology, but he logically substantiates his arguments and that goes a long way. As President however, I don't really know. He ran for President those 3 times largely to satisfy his large ego.
