03/18/2008 | personally, I love the movie. watch it every year. I like the message that "people matter" that said I have nothing against someone who dislikes It's A Wonderful life. I think I only feel annoyed when some who dislikes something they have to add on that anyone who likes it is an idiot. certain movies are a matter of personal likes. I like the movie but fine with me is someone does not.

04/15/2004 | I hate this movie. I'm not afraid to say it. I hate it. Maybe it's because I've seen better movies with actors that have TALENT and are CONVINCING as their characters!
I have also seen movies with better dialogue!
I do not like this movie and I don't care how much unhelpfuls and hateful messages I get.

03/07/2004 | Personally I like this movie for the associations of happy times spent with my family around Christmas, but I fully understand why other people don't--is there ANYthing more maudlin and sentimental than this thing?

02/29/2004 | I'm not sure what to say as I don't know if a high rating indicates that one likes the subject at hand.. or simply agrees that it's an RIA sacred cow. In either case I'll give this one a three. On the one hand it's sweet and uplifting, on the other it's awfully sappy and not a great movie.

02/27/2004 | I like the film, and a fine performance by Stewart(his best performances are Vertigo, Rear Window and Mr Smith Goes to Washington) Henry Travers and Lionel Barrymore put in good performances too. It's not the best holiday movie, that one belongs to A Christmas Story.

02/27/2004 | It's maudlin, sentimental nonsense, probably Capra's worst film and far from Stewart's best. Say that, and not only will you get unhelpful's by the handful, but there are a few folks on here who will send you threatening messages. Come on, you know who you are.
