With all respect to Barrera, he may be a good fighter but he was out classed by Pacquiao. He has finally met his watch that he can't beat!

He should learn lessons of truthfulness and professionalism

Barrera may well be the best active fighter. Pacman beat him, sure, but the rematch will be different, trust me. His quality of opposition is serious, his technical ability is unbelievable as is his heart and willingness to adapt in the ring. He can be overwhelmed by the athleticism (speed) of Pacman and Junior Jones but all fighters have weaknesses --except for you know who (Robinson)!

I don't think he's quite as good as Morales, even though he's taken two out of three of their classic fights. He's been erratic at times, but with a couple of exceptions he gets up for the big fights.

dismissing his loss to pacquiao, barrera is a fighter who should be regarded as one of the best fighters today. hes got power, heart, technique, infinite patience, and absolute class as a sportsman. y cant other boxers be like barrera?

He was lost to PACMAN.

Not quite J.C, Chavez, but a great fighter none the less. He ranks with Arturo Gotti as one of todays most exciting fighter. Like Gotti, he can at times be vulnurable. A definate future hall of famer.

Great fighter. Definetely the best in the featherweight division above Morales. Maybe even 2nd best pound 4 pound in the world behind Roy Jones Jr.

I was pretty dissapointed when Barerra was robbed the first time he fought Morales, but when they fought again i was even more dissapointed at Barrera's ineffective style of constantly moving backwards. I was really shocked that the judges gave him the decision, boxers that run away get no respect from the fans or the judges.

Where the hell is Klychko on this list?...

Pound-for-pound, today's most exciting fighter! Exceptional technician with killer instincts. Bouts against Erik Morales and Kennedy McKinney easily among the 5 most thrilling fights I've ever witnessed...and I've seen plenty of them in the 30 years following the boxing game. Dominated the Prince with relative ease and, thankfully put the clamps to the little Arab's lips and theatrics. Redeemed himself in rematch w/Junior Jones but lost via questionable decision. He is truly "El Campeon de la Gente", "the people's champion".

This guy made Prince Naseem look like a rag doll he beat him around so much. He was begging Naseem to attack, and when he didn't, Barrera totalled the bum. This guy can take punches, and dishes them out pretty damned effisciently too.

What can I say, what he did against the Prince was what Ali did to Foreman.
BoXiNgFaN 05/26/2001
What a champion.....With his dominant performance over the Prince, where no one thought he would win, Barrera showed us that he is a true champion. I also believe he beat Morales in their classic showdown on Feb. 2000.....Barrera without a doubt is heavily one of my favorites....He has a lot more to prove, and i believe he will go out and prove it
