Even though Babsy is a political nitwit, she is brilliant as Fanny Brice in this highly entertaining film.

Babs is good all of the time. She is a perfectionist and it shows. Always, Always delivers a fabulous performance. There are few like her. I miss seeing her.

Streisand's greatest preformance, but still pretty obnoxious and lacking. All I can say about that overrated has-been is: oy oy oy oy oy oy oy. The premise is solid and the script wasn't too bad, but the score left much to be desired. Omar Sharyeef was totally miscast as jewish gangster Nicky Arnstein: sorta like casting Martin Lawrence as David Duke.

I liked it and Barbra did a very good job.

Barbara Streisand was great as Fannie Brice,the performer from the early to mid 1900s. there are some good songs such as Don't rain in my parade, and I'm the Greatest Star. the roller skating scene is funny.other numbers are good as well.
