 | ILikePie (49) 03/17/2008 | I don't remember ever encountering this particular item in all my time on RateItAll, but I have to say that not even anybody in England values or appreciates Eastenders...
I used to watch it back when I had nothing better to do in the evenings, but when you realise you could miss three weeks of this and not have missed any of the plot, you start to think that twiddling your thumbs in silence might be a better option...

 | GenghisTheHun (168) 03/16/2008 | I watched it a few times when it was running on BBC America. I thought it was just a lot of Limey Cockney drivel.

 | StanUzbeck (14) 03/05/2004 | This is what British people watch instead of Days of Our Lives. It's not better than any of our soaps just because it's British. Even they can produce mindless drivel. It's more fun to watch than American soaps though, because of the funny accents and the fact that the cast aren't all exceptionally good-looking. They get an extra star out of me for these qualities alone.

 | JonTheMan (27) 02/29/2004 | Hehe, I've watched Eastenders four times a week, every week for about five years now on BBC1 (of course I live in England so here it's more of a bizarre social event than a TV show, it's a little hard to describe) curiously though I wouldn't call myself a fan, it just gives me something to watch at dinner time. Never thought soap operas were meant to be particularly entertaining, just strangely compulsive, not worth getting worked up about.

 | Jed1000 (72) 02/29/2004 | Never saw the program but I'll agree that it's an RIA flashpoint. I can't be bothered reading the comments either for or against anymore but there sure are plenty to choose from.

 | kamylienne (77) 02/28/2004 | (5=definately sacred cow material; I know this is going to sound mean, but oh well) Well, after seeing the bizarre effects of withdrawl former viewers seemed to suffer from, I'm glad this lil' cow got pushed through the meat grinder. Hehehe, moooo!
