02/23/2005 | I would have to object here beacuse Clemson uses Tiger Rag the most as it is their offical fight song; and it is sometimes played in Mizzou, Memphis and LSU also. Usually at the end of a game or after a touchdown, you would hear the fight song. Though Auburn calls themselves Tigers, War Eagle (Their official fight song) and the chant came from a person wearing a uniform for the armed forces with a hat that had an eagle on it. Though this weird history made this song and chant popular, it doesn't mean that it is not a good song to hear and sing due to the fact that they are called tigers and that they do have a live eagle. It certainly is cheery and jaunty.
