Ranking sideline reporters is like deciding what costumed-Barbie doll is the prettiest at Toys-R-Us. . .who the hell cares?

She is a Bitch in person. Met her at a couple baseball games in summer/fall 2007. She acts like she's God's gift to the world.

She is the best, no matter how she looks, which is beautiful by the way. She did a wonderful job with the Little League World Series. I look forward to seeing her career expand beyond the sideline. I hope ESPN has enough sense to keep her around.

This is what words sound like coming out of her mouth...

"Blah, blah, blah...blah...blah, blah...blah blah blah...lah, blah, blah...blah...blah, blah...blah blah blah...lah, blah, blah..."

And this is what most viewers that think that rate her 5 stars...

"I don't care what she says...I like to look at her...wow."

Regardless, she is nothing more than a sideline reporter.

First of all, let me add that Sideline Reporter is a joke job. It is a handout to quiet feminist groups, lefties, and HR people all over the world. Unfortunately, most major sports comply. Why?!?! I have no ______ ( <-- insert your favorite word for copulating here) CLUE! She is one of the countless female sideline reporters who got their job b/c of absurd network affirmative action policies or favors.

I do not want to hear anything from a sideline reporter...they add nothing to a broadcast...and they ask painfully obvious questions that will always result in a scripted answer. I don't want to hear them...it is all BS and we know it...so why bother wasting our time.

In fact, I'll bet most of the guys who rate her (or any sideline reporter) highly are doing so because they think she is hot. I got news for you kids...there is this little thing called the "internet" that was created so that you can look at naked women (and/or men) anytime you want. Got that...they are not wearing their clothes.

Sports should not be tainted by this disgusting practice of sideline reporter…whether the reporter is female or male. Then again, sports shouldn't have been tainted by a lot of things, but we have adapted as fans...I guess. Not by choice...by coercion.

I cringe when the booth asks for her “insight” which she proceeds to read from her script put together by guys behind the scenes to make the token woman on the broadcast team look like she deserves to be there because she “earned” it. Give me a break…enough already. The viewers are not THAT dumb…or are they?!?!

Erin has come along way. I remember when she did the in broadcast updates of hockey scores and she could not get the players names right for the life of her. Now she seems to have much more composure. Erin also appears like she gives her games more preperation. She is young but proves to have a positive approach to her career, she will be one of the best some day. Believe me when I say she has got a lot better. I used to work along side her in the A. Best wishes to you Erin.

Used to listen to Erin on WRUF am850 radio the flagship station out of Gainesville, U of F. She was always so laid back and comfortable she sounded like she was having fun. Was amazed at how attractive she was after listening to her a couple of years, and there she was as comfortable as ever right in front of a camera like her mom was taking a home video of her in the comfort of their dining room. Erin unlike most females in this business knows sports and she isn't faking it she likes sports too a rare combination for a pretty gal, she's going far... Swampie

She grew up in Brandon, Florida. Erin was a nice, yet mature, girl growing up. She had a nice family, a nice dog and didn't grow up with a silver spoon. My buddy and I used to act like idiots trying to kill each other while waiting for the school bus with her. As far as you bums with the comments about her plastic surgery... I'm sure its just a lot of makeup. However, she was still beautiful back in grade school without makeup. She's done well. Good job Erin! If your ever in Jacksonville doing a Jags game, drop me a line. Max P.

I don't believe Erin has been on air with ABC for a great length of time, however, she brings a very familiar presence which makes this position a good fit. In her recent sideline reporting with the oft cagey Bobby Bowden (good luck interviewing that one when he's riled up)at the Orange Bowl she didn't back down and presented a clear aire of professionalism and stern resolve...you get answers that way. As for the rest of you guys bringing sexual anecdotes and sophmoric quips I suggest you try paying attention to the words and the mood of the event she's reporting on. The mere fact that you are commenting on this reporter lends to the credence she is captivating your attention. Big 10 6'2 220lb

First of all, Erin Anrews is pretty hot. However, I was completely distracted from considering any mistakes she has made when I read mbenz4603's comment. Wow, you really are from West Virginia aren't you? I understand what you were trying to say but it was almost sad to read your attempt at ridicule. I'll point out your mistakes. You were screwed from the beginning when you tried to question her education. You fail to make complete sentences which is o.k. given that this is a comment page but funny in light of your opening statement. "Incompetent and complete disregard" is just stupid and a great example of misused terms. Then you say, "i suggest you figure out where your at during a broadcast." Well, I suggest you figure out what "your" really means and decide if you would rather say "you're" instead. Smart. Finally, to end your tirade about a verbal slip-up, you call yourself a "Proud Moutaineer." Way to go buddy. You tried to make fun of someone for screwing up while on national television and you couldn't even write a 6 line comment correctly when you had all the time in the world. You truly are the pride of WVU I'm sure.

Erin, did you fail geography in the 3rd grade, WEST VIRGINIA IS A STATE been that way for a while now. So if you plan to make a career in broadcasting, something your total incompetent and complete disregard of the great State of West Virginia isn't going to help, i suggest you figure out where your at during a broadcast. But i appreciate your giving of the "game pie" to the great WEST VIRGINIA fans. From: A Proud Moutaineer. Go WVU!!

On Thanksgiving '05 she was covering the Backyard Brawl between West Virginia and Pitt. Erin did a report on "western Virginia University." Not West Virginia University. No one seemed to inform her that West Virginia is a state. For you people out there that don't know (Erin included obviously) West Virginia has no relation to Virginia. West Virginia became a state in 1863 during the civil war when 55 union counties decided to seperate from the confederate Virginia state. I might be a little more understanding if it was an away game, but she didn't even know what state she was in. Come on, your a professional, get it together.

I think that Erin Andrews is about the most beautiful analyst the sporting industry has to offer. She also does a pretty good job of reporting at different sporting events. Granted she is not perfect but is pretty knowledgeable in all of the sports she analyses. All around I rate her a perfect 5 out of 5 because she just makes watching the T.V. more enjoyable. Props to you Erin.

Eye candy is about it. Very hot, but, as someone else put it here: "Complete ding-dong." She seemed lost during last night's Sox/Yanks game, and was way too bimboish. And then she led into her chat with Robert Redford with something like, "And here we are with the infamous Robert Redford." Infamous? Someone at ESPN needs to send the woman back to school or at least give her a dictionary, and maybe a Playskool "My First Interview" reporter kit.

I first saw Erin Andrews doing TV commentary from the crowd during the Stanley Cup playoffs a few years ago (remember them...?). I was impressed as hell that ANY sideline/in-the-crowd reporter of any gender did enough research to sound like she could intelligently discuss the game of hockey beyond the score (like game strategy, etc.). The fcat that she is hot as all getup doesn't hurt much, either, but I don't want to stereotype her like a Jill Arrington, who is cute but doesn't know her sports; this girl knows AND does her homework. She finally made a mistake the other day at the Red Sox/Yankees game, addressing Jay Payton, and how he tried to contact Sox manager Terry Francona to apologize for being an ass when they released him in July, and she said in closing that at this time, "he still hasn't actually spoken to TITO". I doubt there are many sideline reporters her age who even know who Tito Francona is (Terry's father), so that is a mistake I can easily forgive. She is simply the best of the sideliners, and probably the best-looking as well...
