 | Major of the ROTC (1) 02/10/2005 | Anticipation is a bad thing. It causes stress and fear, like an event that you want to partake in. the event is extraordinary, and you just can't wait to embark on it that you exhaust yourself on it night and day. In military drill, anticiaption is the downfall of the entire flight-- especially during a competition. If one person anticipates a command of presenting arms, a ripple or some other bad image forms in the flight and causes everyone on the team to look bad and lose the competition. Anticipation is conquerable, though, quite easily-- you just got to focus on something and lose the fear. Something my flight needs to learn.
