11/28/2006 | Tricky feeling! Pity shows your compassionate and sensetive side , but at the same time closes you up from feeling love and/or contentment. I hate when people pity me - hate me, love me, adore me, just don't pity me.

02/10/2005 | I'd rather be empathetic with someone than just pitying them. Pity's more along the lines of Well, sucks to be you, don't it?; empathy is trying to understand their emotions and feeling it with them.
